Brought an out of town visitor with picky taste. She loved everything as did we. Noise level is very high unless you sit in the alcove
The chef's choice dishes were amazing! Food was plentiful and so very tasty! We dined at the bar which was fun and cozy- service by the beautiful and charming Heather added to the entire experience. - highly recommend.
Everyone in our group of four loved their entrees. The soup to start was excellent, creamy tomato! The great thing at Brio other than fine cuisine, is that they offer full and half portions. So civilized!!! Three of us had half portions and all were very satisfied. The one who ordered the full portion was too full to finish. The daily lamb special was amazing and the Sunday Gravy was to die for!!! We will be back when next we return to Victoria.
Every dish we ordered was fabulous. All three salads and antipasto were delicious. The wine was wonderful Burrowing Owl. Service was above and beyond. Fantastic evening out
Service was extremely well paced and very friendly. All meals were terrific. The recommended wine was a perfect match to the meals.
Great restaurant with relatively new owners who are continuing the standards set by Greg Hays and Sylvia Marcolini, giants among Victoria's culinary scene. They set the standard decades ago with the Herald Street Cafe and continued to develop a more intimate atmosphere with Cafe Brio. First class food, friendly efficient service and a small but excellent drink and wine list. Highly recommended from a lifelong Victorian who's passionate about dining out and wine.
We arrived prior to our reservation and were not only seated but were able to take advantage of the early bird special. We always enjoy dining with you at least once during our annual visit from the North Coast of Oregon. I always enjoy your duck but tried the special this time and enjoyed it. Devon did a wonderful job of serving us. We had friends with us who had not been to Victoria in 30 years. We are happy to see that you purchased L'Ecole and that we are now able to make reservations. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there on Tuesday. See you next year or sooner. Gary & Cindy Gillam
The waited from the moment we entered was engaging and made us feel welcome.. the recommendations of the food: the figs with balsamic and parmesan started was divine and I would highly recommend the carbonara! Environment was busy so a bit of noise but not bad. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Delicious authentic Italian food 😋
Can always count on a lovely early bird dinner at Cafe Brio and last night was no exception. Treated a friend of mine to dinner who hadn't been there for 19+ years. She loved it, and will be back. Always appreciate the great service, delicious food and ambience.
Amazing food! We ate at the bar and everything was wonderful! The food, the wine pairing, the service....if you are in Victoria, BC it is worth the reservation!

the food was extremely small in portions , considering I ordered the duck breast and was plated about an ounce of meat? No starch was served with the meal, some terrible veggie mix was added for good measure? not impressed for almost $ 150.00 will not go back again, a waste of good money
Amazing birthday celebration night out at a lovely location. All food was delicious and with unique details of flavour. The only let down was slightly under cooked rigitoni pasta tubes. Service from Jason - top notch.
The place was jam packed so it was very loud. Server did a fantastic job even with the large number of tables.
My sister and I had a pre-theatre meal at Cafe Brio. Our reservation was early - for 5:30 - but that meant we could enjoy the Happy Hour 3 course special menu. Everything was delicious: flavourful, colourful, interesting. It was clearly the perfect pre-theatre meal. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A lovely dinner.
Incredible first experience at Cafe brio. Awesome service, great features and menu. Delicious and a fun culinary experience! We will be back.
