The coho salmon and tagliatelle Genovese dishes were carefully and expertly prepared - and the Cannoli for dessert? Delicious! A huge shoutout to Jordan for her sunny personality and wonderful attentive service. Thanks again!
We had a wonderful time ambience food drinks all were very good. We will be back tenderloin was amazing
Knowing origin of the chef, pasta offerings including veal scallopini would be welcome. Ordered pasta special: linguine with calamari. Very disappointing. Marina sauce overpowering, calamari very "chewy" and pasta served in a blob. Guests enjoyed salmon entree. Salads and desserts excellent. Service excellent.
This was my third less than satisfactory experience at Callisto. I thought with a new chef and a new menu things might be different. I took my husband for a Fathers Day treat. For starters the salad we ordered had brown lettuce in it which they replaced with a new salad. I ordered a tenderloin steak medium well, it came well done, but tender, Buried underneath my steak were three spears of overcooked asparagus. They had the consistency of a spaghetti noodle. The broccoli spears were yellow on top indicating they were over their best before date and were so hard, they were difficult to cut, never mind eat. The stock of the broccoli was hollow so it was pretty old. My hubby ordered the special lasagna. He said it was okay but warm, not hot. They did offer us dessert but it hardly made up for the rest. Very disappointing. We won't be back again which is unfortunate as it's in a lovely setting.
Had a terrific dinner here Friday night. The new menu is outstanding. All of our party really enjoyed their meals. Spot prawns are in season and one of the specials was Spot Prawns cooked and flambé at table by the chef served over a bed of black rice. Delicious!! My husband requested a special Italian dish and he was happily accommodated. Oh and the desserts were equally amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Not an awesome experience. Starts with the setting...seated adjacent to the lobby bar where guests were loudly enjoying themselves. Given the layout it's understandable that this can happen. As for the food, the highlight was definitely the meatball appies. Otherwise, 2 colleagues had steaks that were both over done vs. instructed (which is odd given they slice the steak for you!), and my beef tagliatele was fairly bland (never usually have to add salt at a restaurant!), and the meat was strangely mushy. For the price I wish we'd uber'ed downtown to find a better option.
Our waitress was such a trooper. There were 8 of us and a lot going on for Mother's Day. She absolutely did the best she could. However the men got served first and then women got served sporadically and then the food was cold but it was still decent. We had to get our own water. Food took forever. Waitress was apologizing I felt bad for her she was working so hard. I just think they should have had more staff and been more organized Esp for Mother's Day but at the end of the day it's a first world problem.
Phenomenal experience... from being welcomed at the door, warmly greeted by the host, served by a wonderful waitress and served a deliciously prepared breakfast, we loved our Mother's Day breakfast... and to top it all off, the view was incredible! Highly recommend!
Avocado eggs Be n y brunch was delicious and the service was excellent. Grapefruit mimosa is a great addition
Were told a few reso's stayed late so we would have a window table when 1 left. 2 left and 2 couples who arrived long after got them. Pretty maddening. Portions of the apps were great, portions & taste of the mains were comical. Small and flavourless, my husbands salmon was not cooked property & my "beetroot salad" was literally 1 beet cut into slices with some cream that tasted like purfume. Ive had more well thought out food at basic restaurants. Not at all worth the $115.00 bill + tip. There was a live musical guest who was great, but its so noisy in there we could barely hear her 3 tables away. Im sure the view is great, but 1 row from it, we couldnt see anything. As an aside the hostess & bartender are fabulous.

First time back to Calisto after having mixed experiences during and post COVID. We're so glad we decided to dine there for their Easter dinner. We were aware there was a new team in the kitchen- accomplished chef and pastry chef and were curious to try eating there again. Definitely don't regret this decision at all! The food was amazing, there were 6 of us so we tried a variety of dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked and very delicious. Service was excellent. Beautiful environment- inside and out. Stunning views from a lovely setting. Reasonably priced for upscale casual. Appreciate surviving difficult times, looks like everything is on the right path now 👍
Been here for 11 years and watched the changes and the quality and ambience. I believe you have achieved the spot. Fab food... FANTASTIC steak...great service . Proud of your accomplishments and will return👌🏻
Food quality over our expectations. Server Diana very professional, 2 thumb up. Will come back soon
Wow! Doesn't disappoint, the food was delicious. I'm certainly glad we booked this for a special birthday! The 2 band duo was an added bonus and added to the energy of an all ready vibe'n environment. The service was good but really 🐌 ❣️I recommend the filet and definitely the beet salad to start, what a fun dish. Wrap it up with the chocolate cake for dessert (that has to be a kept secret) we will be back, lovely view of the golf course and extremely friendly staff.
We love the food as well as the service but it's a little bit challenging when there are young children next door at the tables. It would be kind of nice if there was a section for families as the restaurant has so much unused space.
