I finally found myself in a position to try the famous Chipotles. I wasn't even aware they had a location on the island, but there it is.
Despite the small portion size for the cost, it was an excellent experience.
The young lady who served me was super friendly and looked like she actually enjoys her job. I ordered a large beef barbacoa burrito with extra meat and got all of the fixings including their hot salsa which was more flavor than heat. They don't have any interesting hot sauces like most of the other burrito places I go to because they're sponsored by Tabasco, however, they had a jalapeno flavored Tabasco as well as a smoked Chipotle Tabasco which were both fantastic, to my great surprise, because I'm not a big fan of the original.
The ingredients were fresh. The seasoning profile was excellent. The place was clean. There were lots of happy looking people in there. Overall, I give the food a five star, except for the portion size/price ratio.
That said I would still 100% recommend this place.

Worst burrito I’ve had in Victoria.

I had a bowl which I thought tasted very good. Unfortunately, the lady preparing it was extremely stingy with the portions. It felt like she was trying to give the smallest amount possible with each spoonful. Because of that, I'm not sure I will go back.

Food is good but the service here is horrible. The workers always seem angry and they’re very impatient. The downtown Victoria location has far better service.

I was looking forward to having my first Chipotle experience after hearing about the raves from a CEO for the company and how good AND organic everything was...hmmm..have my doubts about the organic statement and they use sunflower oil...and sauces were a disappointment...as a vegan to find everything premixed (with what?)...the tofu ..cheese..guacamole...I was expecting fresh and singular vegetables without all the mix...too much mystery involved when you are a vegan for good health....and the $18.00 charge for a vegan burrito was way over the top for me...atmosphere was zero!...I was hoping for a Mexican experience of sorts and instead ended up with a confused Indian version of wannabe Mexican cuisine...not to my taste ...disappointed!..won't be going back.

I don’t leave negative reviews, but I’ve always had disappointing experiences at this location. The customer service always feels impatient and unwelcoming, and they have so much attitude for no reason. On top of that, the dining area is frequently dirty, tables are not wiped down, which makes the environment feel poorly maintained. I hope management takes both the service and cleanliness concerns seriously.

No complaints about the food or service, but every time we go in there, every table is dirty from the last people. No one ever cleans the tables, it seems.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to the awesome team at Chipotle! Specifically, a huge thank you to the cute young Indian girl who suggested I try the new Chicken Al Pastor. I was hesitant, but wow, it was delicious! Best Chipotle meal I’ve had in ages. Thanks for the great recommendation and service!
And thanks girl if you’re reading this…😄

The food here is genuinely really good, that’s why I keep coming back. However, the portion sizes are consistently small for the price. It feels like the servings are very limited. The service has been disappointing many times. On one visit, my friend was sorting out her cards to pay, and the employee said, “Can you just pay?” in an impatient tone, which felt unnecessarily rude. I work in customer service myself, so I understand it can be stressful, but customers shouldn’t feel rushed or spoken to that way.
If you’re looking for a similar option with friendlier service and better portions, I’d recommend the Chipotle in Victoria downtown.

Food is good but WHY are the workers so rude? I've been here four times since opening and each time, the employees are extremely rude and snarky. They always seem to be annoyed with everything you ask and sometimes even skip over ingredients you chose. The service at the downtown location is much better! I work in service too, and I know not to talk customers in the rude, snarky attitude they give.

Went there last night, just before 5pm. Just before the rush.
We ordered 2 bowls. Food looked fresh, tasted great.
HOWEVER.
-there’s only 1 till, and it froze, so this caused a backup of customers.
-no tables were clean.
-we asked twice if tables could be cleaned, mentioning kindly that several were dirty.
-when a staff came out to wipe tables, she did ours and the one next to us. Left all other tables still dirty.
-today I’m midway through my leftovers for lunch, and there’s an approx 1.5in hair. Mine is several inches long, and not the same colour.
I struggle to go back based on this.

Rice wasn't cooked enough, tortilla was cold, and more expensive than other burrito places ..
