Chorizo & Co. Restaurant & Bar

We have eaten tapas all over the world at some very excellent restaurants but this was way and above anything we've had previously. The food was spectacular - every dish! Loved it.The specialty drinks were fabulous. We tried several. I liked the Honey Bee.You'd think the following menu items all sound a bit ordinary-they were anything but:Salt Cod Croquettes- just melt in your mouth delicious.Boquerones - white anchovies - super fresh and such a hit we put in a second order.Meatballs - moroccan spices and the tamarind make this dish sing.Grilled cauliflower - lovely and unusual.Paella de Marisco - not your usual heavy-on-the-rice paella, generous on the seafood and quite wonderful.Our party of 4 ordered and shared all 3 of the desert offerings. Couldn't decide which was best - they were all exceptional.Great service, too. I'd go back any day. Wish y'all weren't have a continent away.

Best paella I've ever had in my life. Humboldt squid was grilled and so tender. Hummus and grilled pita, cod fritters, steamed clams and mussels and the patatas bravas. Everything was tasty and so well prepared. Slightly zesty, with an amazing medley of flavors. Highly recommend, hope to return.

Chorizo is now in the top few of our favourite Victoria restaurants. They have hit the mark in all the key areas. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, with good music. The food is fabulous. We had the Boquerones and the Humboldt Squid. Both outstanding.

Delicious food and wine in a chill ambiance with cool music that allows for a conversation. We had an amazing burger with a Spanish twist, bone marrow, duck hearts (omg so good), olives, Tempranillo and their charred bread - I wish more places did that). Their coffee and desserts are amazing as well. Bang for your buck! We always come back for more food and the vibes.

If the only issue is that the portions should be 3x the size, then they're doing good stuff there!

Fantastic experience - probably the best date night venue in Victoria.Cocktails were perfect. The food was delish - particularly the salt cod croquetas, clams & mussels, and patatas bravas. The chocolate mousse put my homemade version to shame.Service was top notch too - couldn't ask for a better experience.We'll see you again.

Had a great meal here with my family. Everyone had something different and the groans of pleasure came from all of us. From the hamburger to the paella, the mussels to the pork belly, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. It’s small, intimate, warm, inviting and the service was excellent. I’m so glad for this wonderful restaurant! Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

We were a table of four and everything we got had 3 items on it. Not authentic tapas since you should get one item per person. 3 prices of charred bread, 3 meatballs. The anchovy tapas was one piece of burnt bread that we had to cut with butter knives to share it. VERY small portions and our waitress was not very good at reading a table. Tried to clear plates that were not done and asked us if we wanted dessert when we were clearly still eating and drinking wine. Liked the micro green salad and the squid. Did not enjoy the warm olives as there were whole cloves in it that if you mistakenly ate as I did, ruined your palate. Also the water had wierd floaties in it and the bartender said it was from orange although the water had no taste or smell of orange...Very surprised by the food as it has gotten such good reviews in the past. Has something changed?

Everytime I visit Chorizo & Co. I'm left with the same question. Why am I not here more often? The food is outstanding. Great mixed drinks and well curated wine list. The vibe casual, friendly, the service excellent. It all makes for a terrific dinner out. Thank you. I highly recommend.

It was like being in Barcelona! We had small plates only - patatas bravas, mussels and clams (spicy and aromatic) and white anchovies on toast with capers and other goodies. Lovely Gran Reserva to go with it all, perfect on a cold,.rainy Victoria night.

Had our anniversary dinner there last night. What a treat! We were torn between the jerk chicken for two or just order a few tapas - we decided on the latter. EVERYTHING was delicious. Cool, hip atmosphere and staff were attentive.

The pasta was super salty, the burger tasted burnt, and the dessert was just a cup of fluff marshmallow. We couldn't finish anything. Drinks were decent and service was fine if slow.
