We love coming to Clive's when we are in Victoria. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and we can say enough about the cocktails and food. What a great way to spend our last evening visiting Victoria.

The steak for two was beautifully cooked — tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth it. The fries were delicious, though the mashed potatoes were surprisingly skimpy. Service was friendly and the ambiance was great. Unfortunately, the Negroni was the worst I've had. Instead of that smooth balance of gin, vermouth, and Campari, it was hit with an overpowering bitter orange bite that completely took over. The orange should complement the drink, not dominate it.

Excellent date-night dinner for my wife & I. Service was great - friendly, helpful, and efficient. Food and drinks were excellent, we chose from the Dine-Around menu with wine pairings and it was all wonderful.

Portions were extremely small. We had the family platter of beef, and it was served with green beans. We had 4 green beans each. Beyond that, the drinks were pre mixed. I got a special drink, which raised money for big brothers and big sisters, and it was pre mixed. They have Negronis on tap, which is cool but it was very alcohol-tasting. It's overall good food, I just don't think the value is there for the price.

They need to update their menu, as many of the items and details we asked about did not match what was actually offered. In addition, their parking service requires improvement. While free parking is offered, the process is inconvenient—you must obtain a ticket from the hostess and then return to your vehicle to place it inside to avoid receiving a parking ticket. Finally, the main courses were notably small for the price, which added to the overall disappointment.

Clive's is a classy classic. One feels welcome and very special there. The cocktails will be exactly as ordered. The serving staff seem to really enjoy their work and this adds to the happy ambiance. We're lucky to have Clive's in Victoria!

Clive‘s was recommended by another guest we met at our local hotel. They advised it had a cosy classy atmosphere with timeless, dark wood interior and jazz music. We booked a reservation for Saturday night. Upon arrival we were greeted and waited for our table and then we were seated at a front corner booth, which we thought was nice until every single car that pulled into the hotel was like an interrogation light blinding us. (If you are seated in the booth at the front directly to the right of the entrance, please ask to be moved if you want to enjoy your evening). There was a large table of Young people who were quite loud, however, appeared to be enjoying themselves, so this was completely understandable. What was not as great was the loud classic rock - Aerosmith/run DMC being blasted over the speaker. Quite a change from the jazz or laid-back vibe we were hoping for. Drinks were fine nothing spectacular. Price was reasonable. I guess our expectation was higher based on the recommendation versus the experience we had.
