This place does have gluten free and vegan cake option but you can’t place an order more than 24 hours in advance. They can’t hold on to the cakes for your either. So, completely pointless. Go to Lighthouse for gf cakes!!

Cold Comfort is in the upper echelon of ice cream shops I've been to; a must-visit every time I'm in Victoria. The atmosphere is fun and quirky, and the ice cream itself is incredible, whether in pint form or on their perfectly-oversized sandwiches. I need direct shipments of that "Rosemary's Baby" flavor coming to my home weekly....

honestly this place is amazing, i came and got the golden graham sandwhich and the pumpkin butter cookie sandwich. i definitely recommend coming here. they have the best ice-cream sandwiches in victoria!

Best ice cream in the city bar none. So many unique flavour pairings and love the creamy texture of their ice cream. There is a reason they always have long lineups even in winter and it's worth the wait.

I went twice during my trip to Victoria. Both times they were scooping maybe four or five vegan flavors (about half the flavors!), and they had several vegan cookie sandwich options too. I was super happy that their waffle cones are vegan?
On my first visit, I got a cone with a really nice pumpkin flavor. The second time I got a cookie sandwich: beer-flavored ice cream between two salted pretzel cookies. This wasn't as good — the ice cream was kind of chalky. Overall, though, high praise for this spot. (And major bonus points for being right next to the best vegan bakery in Victoria.)

Why is your ice cream so icey? I have bought a few pints and they are definitely past expiration. Discount it or throw it out. Consistency is a huge problem. It's good ice cream. But is it 3x better than haagen daaz. Nope. The sandwiches are a lot better. But at the price point it's hard to justify. I used to come here a lot but it's not as good as it once was.
