Ethically sourced local ingredients and a happy team of dedicated employees. The only dairy free ice cream I can stomach. And I'm not dairy free.

I’ve been following the creative mind behind Cold Comfort Ice Cream since the early days—just a little cart on a bike! I didn’t even live in Victoria at the time, but I was blown away by the unique flavour combos and fun ideas. I followed from afar, basically torturing myself for years wishing I could try it. 😩 Now? I can just walk into the shop and finally live the dream. 😍 YUM.

As far as GF DF choices go on the island, amazing option! The cone is wonderful & I had 6 flavours to choose from! I really appreciate how faint the coconut taste is- it’s a real treat to enjoy the ice cream itself! Bravo Cold Comfort!

The coffee ice cream was delicious and creamy! The cookies in the cookie sandwich weren’t as good, I wish they were more chewy and less crispy, but the cookie to ice cream ratio was good. I think next time I would just get ice cream!

Such a cute hidden gem. Their ice cream is incredible and they have fun unique flavours all the time. And if you're looking for dairy free options, they got that! They even have pints of ice cream if you can't get enough
10/10 will always recommend. The owner is incredible, front staff are always such a pleasure to chat with, and one of the most incredible folk work in the back who has such a big heart for community and passion for quality whom ive had the personal pleasure of working with many years ago.
I will forever be a huge fan.
My only complaint is that strawberries are not all season so I must wait patiently for them to come into season to have some strawberry ice cream.

Love, love, love this place. Arguably the best selection of dairy-free ice cream in town, and every flavour I’ve tried has been amazing. My favourite so far is Roseberry Ave (done as an ice cream sandwich). I shop here regularly to satisfy my sweet-tooth, and I don’t think I’ve yet to walk out the door without a double scoop of nice-cream in a gluten-friendly cone and a freezer bag full of pints and sandwiches.
