When we first walked in, the woman shouted from the kitchen that she was the only one working and was busy making sandwiches. We patiently waited about 10 minutes without being served, and when we finally tried to get her attention, she berated us instead of helping. Completely unacceptable. We left immediately, and so did the two customers behind us. This is a terrible way to treat paying customers and shows zero regard for basic customer service. Extremely disappointing!

We stopped by Dagwoods Cafe and were absolutely blown away—not just by the food, but by the heart behind it. Elizabeth, the owner, runs the entire show herself, and she does it with such warmth and grace. You can feel the love in everything she makes.
I ordered a sandwich and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Yes, it may take a little longer, but that’s only because Elizabeth is crafting each order by hand while handling everything else on her own. She’s doing an amazing job, and deserves recognition—not criticism—for her dedication.
If you’re in the area, please support this incredible local business. Be patient, be kind, and you’ll be rewarded with a truly delicious meal and a meaningful experience. Thank you, Elizabeth—you’ve created something really special. We’ll definitely be back.

Was looking for a good breakfast sandwich & this little gem popped up on google. 10/10 - The one-woman-show/owner was super friendly, the food was delicious and the coffee was hot! Prices were super reasonable and portion size was generous - Will absolutely be going back again!! 🧡

Just had an awesome lunch at Dagwoods Café in Langford, a quick drive from downtown Victoria. We tried the clubhouse and the BBQ roast beef sandwiches. Both were seriously delicious and really hit the spot. Great portions too. We sat out on the patio, which was super comfortable and had a nice laid back vibe. One of the best parts was meeting Chef Elizabeth. She is so warm and welcoming. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in the food. If you are in the area, definitely check this place out. We will be going back for sure.
Absolutely loved our visit to Dagwoods Café in Langford, BC, just a short drive from downtown Victoria. Their sandwiches are amazing. We had the clubhouse and the BBQ roast beef, and both were packed with flavor and really satisfying. The portions were generous without being too much, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
The patio is a great spot to enjoy your meal. It is relaxed, peaceful, and ideal on a nice day. Chef Elizabeth was such a highlight as well. She is incredibly friendly, approachable, and clearly passionate about her food. You can really feel the care she puts into both the dishes and the atmosphere.
Highly recommend stopping by Dagwoods Café in Langford if you are craving a delicious, feel-good lunch. We will definitely be back.

I thought the comments were an exaggeration so I decided to give it a try. It was not. I'm telling you, I was really shocked on how rude she was :( never in my life I saw someone treat a customer like that, and I've been working in customer service for 10 years now. Just...wow.
Just go to Ponchos instead because the food is AMAZING and the service even better

The amazing owner and sole worker of this lovely cafe should be experienced by anyone who is in the area. Not only are her coffee, sandwiches and sweets she makes daily by herself made with love, her incredible aura and personality will keep you coming back for more. Come to Dagwoods Cafe. You won't be disappointed!
I had to come read the reviews after having walked into this place (and immediately back out) and wasn't surprised to find reviews about the hostility. I didn't even get to try the wonderful looking food and I was hungry. The instant hostile vibe made me leave in less than 30 seconds.
Delicious, hand made sandwiches.
Miss whoever was working body language says everything you didn’t even have to say I don’t want you here your face and body said it for you the your sarcastic “have good day” just solidified what and how you were feeling you might as well of said we don’t serve your kind here
Coffee is excellent! Ordered 2 lattes & a steamed milk today & it was delicious. Great service & a cozy cafe. Will definitely be back!
