As Chinese, I am always looking for the real thing, and it’s not easy to find real Chinese food here in Victoria.
I am so glad we came today! This is real dim sum. Having lived in Vancouver for 15 years, I was spoiled. I really miss having real good Chinese food. They had waitresses pushing the dim sum carts coming by tables like in the old days. It’s hard to find even in Vancouver.
My husband is white and he was very happy with the sticky rice chicken wrap. Food was fresh, some cooked next to your table, and good portion, too. You won’t be hungry!

Located on the main street of Victoria’s Chinatown, this seems to be a popular spot for visitors. Dim sum is served in the traditional cart style, though we got pretty confused since the carts seemed to come around randomly. The taste was just okay — the congee was the best of the bunch, while the xiao long bao had a thick skin. Unfortunately, both my friend and I got stomach aches afterward, which made us question the freshness of the food.
Service also felt a bit chaotic. There are definitely much better dim sum places in Richmond.

Attractive Chinese restaurant in Victoria's Chinatown. I went here for dim sum, which is served old school pushcart style. It's quite pricey (~$10/dish), but I suppose that's the going rate for this kind of food now. The staff were very friendly though.

Oh my god, we tried this restaurant to try authentic dim sums and food, the food was very bad, i literally couldn't even swallowed the dim sum, my friend ate sum of them as we spend money on it. After 1 hour or so he was throwing up all night, it was the worse food restaurant to try on, i even saw some reviews later that they had a fly in their food, that is so unhygienic. The staff was rude, i didn't saw any smile on her face, and when we ask her for suggestions she was saying you want to order something or you are not gonna stay here and she was trying to take away the tea and water when we were deciding the food to order. If a customer come to restaurant and ask for suggestions it doesn't mean they're gonna leave.
The reason why restaurant was empty was the worse food i guess, i would never recommend someone to come to this restaurant if you don't wanna throw up later.

It's Hongkong style restaurant. Dim sum menu is available only lunch. Price is 9-11$ per place, depending on menu.
They served with trolley and you picked from it.
Recommend deep fried tofu sheet with shrimp menu is the best!
except the egg tart was not crispy and not feel like not fully baked.
Parking lots is nearby but need to pay

Anything over 3.5 for a Chinese restaurant is basically 4+. Service is not always the main focus but the food is.

Visiting the area my family & friends decided to go in as we’re just viewing Chinatown with hunger. The place was upstairs and was pretty big. They had many dishes to choose from and I had pork fried rice, which was enough to share. Almond chicken, sweet & sour pork, dim sum, lo mein, wonton soup and other items. Very good food but it can be a wait from the server when asking for things. I asked for hot mustard and hot oil and I had to remind them like 3 times. Not sure if they were short staff or if it’s like that but only negative thing is the waiting on items asked for. It’s a place I could recommend. I wished I had more time in Chinatown to check out the others.
