Swung by while checking out Chinatown. The restaurant had a neat vibe to it so we figured we should at least try some dumplings on the go (my family are dumpling monsters). Got a simple order of the pork belly dumplings to go with the chili sauce on the side - parked our butts on a nearby bench and then proceeded to destroy the entire order in minutes. Kids ended up asking repeatedly if we could have more while we walked around (I was asking too) so we ended up going back for three additional orders (including the shrimp/chive ones), a couple jars of the chili sauce, and a try of the peanut sauce on the side as well. All was amazing, all was delicious, and now I’m sad we don’t have this restaurant back home. Would honestly come to Victoria just for these dumplings. Will definitely be back in the future!

I got the DD sampler bowl. Which had a bit of everything. The flavors were vibrant and rich. The Thai Tea was excellent too. I will be back!

Fantastic spot for anything from a quick snack or lunch, to an early or take home dinner. Tarn's story is one of the best in Victoria and the result is one of our favourite spots to visit.(Bonus points for also providing an excellent catering service).Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian dumplings to choose from on the menu, along with several sides that are veg. friendly.

Purchased the frozen 'lemon grass chicken' dumplings.- lemon grass flavor was over powering- lemon grass pieces were too large and potentially used the outer layer (rougher texture) of the lemon grass which overwhelmed the meatyness textureI will come back to try the mushroom dumpling.

Quality of the food is really good, however the portions are fairly small. Went twice while staying in Victoria and tried the pork dumplings with rice (both chili oil and peanut sauce) and was very pleasantly surprised by the taste.Despite the small portions, couldn’t complain too much about the price for what you’re getting.Will say though, service was great and friendly. Would love to visit again next time I’m in Victoria!
I'm not someone who likes to complain, but this is the worst mango sticky rice I've had in my life. They don't use fresh mangoes, they save money by using the fibrous, cloying, tin tasting canned mangoes. The rice is also gummy instead of sticky. This restaurant really broke my heart. Mango sticky rice is one of my favourite desserts and I was really looking forward to this.

They were absolutely delicious!There's a great happy hour special which is dumplings & a beer for $10.Thai pop-up on the weekends.Super cute, small space so we might need to grab to go. Only a few tables and maybe sight bar seats.Top notch and highly recommend!
