One of our favorite spots for sushi. The Shokado Box is well with it and makes decisions easy because the chef does it for you. We like the Monday special Sapporo and a snack, yum.

Meh !!!! I am gonna assume it’s better in person. Would not order it for delivery though. The tighter the roll or cube the closer to god and the rolls and cubes were not giving what they needed to give. Falling apart and messy as hell. Flavours were alright but not great. I will try going to restaurant in person and give it another go. Will update this if my opinion changes. My overall review of this place is mid but will reassess in person and come back with my final thoughts. Do not order for delivery is my current thoughts and tighten up on them Sushi rolling skills.

I just had the BEST meal at E:Ne. Like.. possibly the best meal of my life. I tried the Shokado Box consisting of nine small plates curated by the chef and I couldn't pick a favourite! The sashimi melted in my mouth, the fried foods were delicious and crunchy, the dumplings made me swoon - and everything was so beautifully presented. I paired it with the Somelier's Choice, a flight of 4 delicious sakes, and followed that with another elegant glass of sake, as I lazily made my way through the feast. I could not possibly recommend this restaurant more, and can't wait until I can go back!
(The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the atmosphere is I didn't love the top-40 pop music playlist, I feel like the sophisticated vibe of the place deserved better music but I can be a bit of a music snob, so can't begrudge them their popular music!)

Me and my wifey came here at 10pm as this was the last Japanese restaurant open and honestly we didn’t expect much as we know Vancouver island is very quiet and everything closes early at night but wow, we were extremely surprised by how great the food here tasted. You can’t go wrong here and we will 100% be back if we are ever back in Victoria.
