I just had the BEST meal at E:Ne. Like.. possibly the best meal of my life. I tried the Shokado Box consisting of nine small plates curated by the chef and I couldn't pick a favourite! The sashimi melted in my mouth, the fried foods were delicious and crunchy, the dumplings made me swoon - and everything was so beautifully presented. I paired it with the Somelier's Choice, a flight of 4 delicious sakes, and followed that with another elegant glass of sake, as I lazily made my way through the feast. I could not possibly recommend this restaurant more, and can't wait until I can go back!
(The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the atmosphere is I didn't love the top-40 pop music playlist, I feel like the sophisticated vibe of the place deserved better music but I can be a bit of a music snob, so can't begrudge them their popular music!)

Me and my wifey came here at 10pm as this was the last Japanese restaurant open and honestly we didn’t expect much as we know Vancouver island is very quiet and everything closes early at night but wow, we were extremely surprised by how great the food here tasted. You can’t go wrong here and we will 100% be back if we are ever back in Victoria.

I like that they open until 11:30 am! Great option when everything else is closed. It’s a dark bar style atmosphere. Not my style. I got the ramen and grilled mackerel. It was good, but wasn’t special. Bill for both came to $42 CAD.

I used to love this restaurant for its great atmosphere and delicious food, but my recent visit was a bit disappointing. The food quality and portion sizes have noticeably declined since my first time here. The fried chicken, in particular, was a letdown – the portion was almost half of what it used to be and much greasier than before. While the ambiance is still great, I hope they can improve the food and portions to match their previous standard.
Daughter brought me here for my birthday. So much fun ! So many ridiculously delicious options ! Sake Bombs ?? thank you ! to the staff for being such an awsum start to an epic celebration
