Just don’t. Worst sushi I’ve attempted to eat in 30 years of eating sushi. The two deep fried ‘tuna’ roll had unidentifiable filling. If I were to guess it was canned tuna mixed with something. The rice was more like a thick soggy paste and whatever was on top was also soggy. We also got spicy “tuna” roll which again, seemed to have a different filling more resembling tuna sashimi but seemed minced and the colour and taste were off. The other two (5 rolls in total) were California rolls and similar to above. Thick paste like dense rice and horrible filling with no avocado. None of the rolls came with ginger and they had about a pea sized dollop of wasabi. This was $60 worth of food that we literally had to throw out when we got home after having several bites. Was too worried about being sick and even if not sick, it was too awful to even attempt to eat. This place has been there a long while and I have no idea how.

Fast, reasonably priced and good sized portions
Gyoza tasted quite good but the teriyaki beef was very under seasoned, otherwise would have been much better

Usually gyoza cooked more, this time zero sear or crisp, just soggy
VERY bland food. I am not sure any seasoning was used at all. Beef teriyaki combo with veggies comes with a bunch of cabbage and thats about it. Service is fine, not bad, not great. Overall doesnt seem to be very clean.

Great place to just grab lunch and relax in a down-to-Earth sort of vibe. Straight-forward, tasty food. Sometimes I ask for half a scoop of teriyaki sauce since in can be taste too sweet and overpowering if I eat here often. Not as budget-friendly as McDonald's, but great value nonetheless if you prefer regularly having Japanese food over McD. Wish there more more cheap, practical places like this to get ethnic foods in general.

Tempura and chicken teriyaki was awful. No flavor. I added soya and it didn’t help. The tempura was very greasy. Will never be back.

I watched the person who cooks your food hand a patron the bathroom key and not continue cooking the food without washing their hands. That is all you need to know about the cleanliness of this place.

I wasn’t going to leave a review because i see a lot of negatives. But you know they take your money, a decent amount at that, and give well under par product. Asked for to go, they give you a bag, and when the food is ready they leave it on the pass through with all the lids off. Food taste like VH teriyaki sauce dumped on. Just blank and expensive
Honestly should not have tipped or have gone to this place period. I was massively hungry after physiotherapy and needed a place to eat before shopping. I ordered two entrees; their sashimi Bento box and their shrimp yakisoba. The sashimi is kinda like the low quality cut but I would say that's probably the high point of the Bento with the salad. The teriyaki beef so absolutely disgusting I don't know where to begin. Some slices were hard and overcooked while others were clearly not fully cooked and looks like barely seared ground beef chunks literally disintegrating in my chopsticks ?The shrimps in the yakisoba is gummy in texture upon chewing so while cooked not fresh. The noodles itself is piping hot but the sauce they used tastes rancid. The three staff members were talking ridiculously loud in Mandarin with the one on the register not understanding my order as well. I read my order 4 times slowly and she still got my order wrong; I should have took that as a red flag and said never mind but didn't because I remembered this place when it first opened long ago and the staff then were kind. Must be completely new ownership because this experience is a stark contrast of food quality and service that I had then.Worst of all, at one point when I was almost done eating my food, they were mopping close to me and it felt like two of the 3 staff members were eyeing me wanting me to hurry up eating. I can't because the food was just putrid and having them hovering around me made it a lot worse. Several other customers came in; they didn't turn them away but you can hear the agitation in their vocal tone. By 19:00 sharp, they shut of ⅓ of the store lights. Excuse me? I walked little after 18:30 and they were cleaning the kitchen as if they're done. As I put my food away, there were still customers clearly starting on their meal as they just received their order.I honestly do not understand while I'm wandering at Wal-Mart with slight gastro pain trying to hasten my shopping and go straight home. Don't eat here; it takes a lot for me to dole low ratings. I was better off consuming air and roughing it to make dinner. Less agonizing. ? It took me a lot to not cuss in either Cantonese or Japanese.
Parking: It's located inside Uptown. Plenty of parking.
