One of my favourite places for a business lunch. Central location, lots of parking, great food, friendly staff and prompt service. No waiting around for your bill while emails are piling up.

Had a wonderful lunch. Service was friendly and efficient. The "Buddha Bowl" I had was very good. Best I've had in Victoria. My friend enjoyed her "Poke Bowl" too.

The expensive ribeye steaks were a very poor cut and half fat. The seafood linguine was borderline inedible due to the high salt. My tuna poke bowl was good. The waitress was great but only comp'd one steak at 50% and gave us a free dessert. Food quality was definitely disappointing and has deterioted.

It was a perfect send off for out-of-town guests who had been experiencing Canada's cooler autumn temperatures and are unaccustomed to that. Sitting by the fireplace in a quiet spot where we could visit without having to yell was absolutely perfect. Food was great although one of the guest's portions was small and he does not have a large appetite (coconut shrimp). It sure would be nice to have bread and butter served at the table to supplement the meals, especially while we wait for food to arrive. Whatever happened to the common practice of that? Otherwise a great evening dinner for which we are grateful.

My sister and I took our spouses for dinner on a Saturday evening. The outside of the facility is so beautiful and old but we'll preserved. Inside, it was just dark enough to be romantic but bright enough to be able to see the building for what it is, historical. The servers were super attentive and seemed to enjoy paying attention to our needs. The food was delicious, well presented and served relatively quickly considering how busy the place was. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to folks looking for a very special venue for a special occasion meal.

A very nice, relaxing place for lunch. A bit dated in its decor but easily overlooked particularly remembering that it used to be a private home. Great service, always -great food - reasonably priced.
We were disappointed. Fireside has definitely changed in customer service and quality of food.

Food quality has gone downhill, and server messed up one of the orders, taking a lot of joy out of a birthday dinner. Prices are way too high for the experience/quality/taste.

My only complaint is the noise level in the main dining room. This is the second time there when we couldn't hear our friends across the table. I am meeting friends for a Christmas lunch in December and hoping too many extra people & tables aren't squeezed in there. Food and service was excellent.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner, our first time not eating at home. We had asked for the patio, but because of the weather the staff changed us to an inside table. It was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better table. Kaylie was out server, very professional. I enjoy a good martini, but I am reluctant to order one in a restaurant because it usually isn't made right. To my pleasant surprise it was outstanding. I had to compliment the bartender Riley on the way out, I think it as the best mart I have had that I didn't make myself. All four entries were excellent, no one had order envy, we were all very pleased with our choices. This was our second time to the FSG and it has become our favourite. Highly recommended.
