Male server with eyes glued to his iPad barely looked at us and walked away when I said “may I?” Trying to get our bills. His attitude sullied our brunch. Drinks were 5.50$ for a thimble of juice, a bit cray.
However Hannah at the door was awesome, very personable.

My partner and I come here regularly, and we keep coming back because of the vibes! The food obviously is great. Great portions and value. Service is fairly quick, even on a busy summer day when there's a line out the door. We have servers that recognize us now and always come by to chat. It's the homiest brunch place in town.

Can't support a business that treats their employees so badly. Overheard a manager taking a strip out of a lovely young woman working there who was doing a great job. Gave the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day and then I saw this same manager (overheard them say her name was Nancy), late 60's maybe, being really rude to her staff again. I asked our server if she was in fact the manager and was sheepishly told she was. She's lovely to the customers but how do people work here getting publicly stripped down? Food was mediocre, prices high - like it is everywhere. I don't give negative reviews unless it's really earned. So here you go Floyd's on W. Saanich, your manager turned me off. 1 star for you.

All I had here was a side of bacon and a bottomless coffee, but it was all perfect. Literally the best bacon I’ve ever tasted, and the service was extremely good. I take a lot of cream in my coffee and the server didn’t try to shame me for it, just brought me as much as I wanted. I also loved sitting at their little bar, and felt totally comfortable just having what I wanted, no pressure to order more. You can’t find a bottomless cup of coffee many places these days either, and for my personal taste and mood this was great filter coffee. Would definitely come back here and try other stuff on their menu.

Sadly disappointed with my experience today. Went with a friend for brunch our order was taken and maybe 3 minutes later our food was at our table. I ordered a basic bacon and egg dish my friend ordered a Benny dish. From start to finish my friend eggs should have taken at least 10 minutes to prepare mine at least 5 minutes. My over easy eggs came out over hard. When the server saw I wasn’t eating they said I will have the kitchen make new eggs I responded no I’ll have a brand new plate. This wasn’t going to happen in their view. So the option was just take it away. No apology no visit from a manager nothing and no money in their account from me. I sent 12 years in the restaurant business even went to school for cooking band restaurant management. So I would think I have some idea on this subject. Sorry to say that I will not be returning to Royal Oak ever again.

My family and I are visiting from New Jersey USA. This restaurant is near our location. I am a Chef by trade and career. When I say that the Food and Service was Exceptional, Take my Word for it. The Pleasantness and Professionalism of Sarah our Server to The Mahoney Breakfast Chef makes you your Breakfast or Lunch to what he decides to put on your plate. After the meal was done, you have the option to pay the menue price or flip to either pay $0 or double the price. The food is prepared Fresh and "Made From Scratch" style as was my restaurant!!! Oh BTW!!! Fresh Made Real Hollandaise Sauce!!!! When we visit every year, this will be our "Favorite Go To" Place!!! Thank you Floyd's!!!! Can't Wait for Next Time!!

The staff was so amazing!! From ordering our takeout to picking it up. I love the energy and atmosphere. The food is wonderful and every single person working was great. I wish I could give the service a 6 star.
