We took the 8:30 ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria and ended up sitting with a couple from Victoria. They were very friendly so I took the opportunity to ask for a breakfast recommendation. They told us that Floyd's is the local favorite and that there a few locations. We found this on one our route to Butchart Gardens and knew we had to stop. It was great!! Brie, our server, was super friendly and even recommended some other places for us to visit during our stay in Victoria. The food was excellent! I wish I had a Floyd's where I live. I'm going to tell everyone visiting Victoria to have breakfast at Floyd's.

Was a little pressed for time today so chose to go to our neighbourhood Floyd’s diner. I ordered an omelet and so did not enjoy it and didn’t eat it, It was full of thick layers of piled up slices of ham and large chunks of vegetables, and hardly any cheese, it would have been way more enjoyable if they were small pieces. The service was awesome and the coffee and toast were good. My second experience at Floyd’s and sadly I won’t return. Sorry Petr.

The place is FILTHY!! Even my server's T-shirt had stains on it. There have obviously been attempts to clean the floor, but all the dirt is in the corners, top of baseboards - I kept expecting to see a roach (didn't thank goodness). It turned my stomach. Chair in front hall was broken (an accident waiting to happen when a customer sits down). I was served the wrong meal - they fixed the mistake, but everyone else had finished eating before I got my meal, and it was not worth the calories sadly. I won't come back to this location again - others seem nicer.

This has to be the worst run of all the location food as cold and burnt at the same time and it seems like it’s trying to be far to hip then worry about service and food quality. Don’t get me wrong the other locations are great it just seems this location is lacking the same management as the others

Brie (like the cheese or American Idol), took good care of my family (including good interaction with a 3 year old), all while taking care of the rest of her section in parallel.We landed on New Years Day, had a surprisingly reasonable wait-time (surprisingly short, credit to general staff), and were then handily taken good care of for the duration of our visit. Well done staff & crew of Floyd's-Royal Oak (both named and un-named), and thank you!Child & veggie (myself) approved also!Vegetarian options: Demonstrated (multiple times) dedication to ensuring veggie approved options! <3Kid-friendliness: My 3 year old son has "become" a regular, with the waffles becoming a regular, and the fruit / yogurt bowl becoming the preferred alternate. Menu is kid-accessible (separate / dedicated), making it easier for the "little ones" to pick their own meal (ahead of order time.)

Complete garbage food and horrible service. We sat for 20 mins before our orders were taken then another 40 mins before our "food" nearly showed up... freezing cold chicken in the clubhouse. Scrambled eggs were dry and discoloured from sitting so long. Butter on the toast was nowhere near melted indicating it was not hot when the butter was put on... I don't understand how places like this could get good reviews. Maybe is because many people feel the need for give great reviews to justify overpaying for sub par food and service. The manager just brushed us off and we left hungry. Very disappointed...
