Our stay was good, the rooms were nice and clean. The pool and sauna were functional. The only reason for removing one star was the complimentary breakfast deal. There was just one girl who was serving, taking orders for the crowd of around 25-30 people eating there at that time (9:00ish in the morning). And she was really doing a great job but she shouldn't have to do it all. The service was slow even though she was on the run all the time. Bringing our orders took around 25-30 minutes. Food was delicious though. I asked for cream for the coffee and by the time I got the cream the coffee was ice cold.Overall I recommend it but management should take care of the service at the restaurant.Rooms: Neat and cleanFood & drinks: There is a restaurant on the ground floor. Also cotsco is right across the street.

Booked a single room, king bed and jacuzzi. Was upgraded for free to a beautiful suite. Everyone was friendly and professional, would recommend.

I checked in around 2:30 pm at March 15th . The young lady at the first desk was the worst one I ever met. Her service attitude was terrible. My 13-year-old son was beside me , after left the check-in area, he asked me why she was so unfriendly. The worst experience ever had. Will not be back again.

Front desk clerk Taylor was amazing! So patient and kinda very friendly and happy! We were at the hotel for a Youth Convention so it was very busy and a lot going on at once. Taylor was respectful and reserved, and a true pleasure to deal with ❤️

Three stars is a real reach for this place. My wife and I arrived at separate times and she doesn’t have my last name so they made her charge her credit card separately rather than calling me to confirm that she was even my wife, they were rude to her and didn’t realize provide a decent solution to the very simple problem.Get to the room with an expansive view of the Costco roof. Surprise!!! Costco receives its orders ( many trucks) via forklift at 3am, the forklift honks vigorously several times before it takes any corner or backs up so it’s extremely loud and obnoxious, particularly for 3am.The room doesn’t even have a microwave. The “queen sized bed is actually a double and the fitted sheet doesn’t fit as the mattress is deep and the sheet is not, so by the time you wake up you are bare backing a hotel mattress, YUK! We found someone’s retainer or mouth guard in our room too, major YUK. The duvet between the sheets did not look clean at all.We were travelling with our dogs and this hotel has the largest pet fee I have ever paid $35/night per pet, for this $140 you get a patch of grass near the front door….thats it, no treat to welcome your extremely expensive travel partner , not even some poo bags. For reference we stayed at the best western tin wis on Mackenzie beach in Tofino (a much nicer hotel) and I was charged $60 for 4 nights with the same two dogs 6 months ago, that stay came with dog bowls, treats, bags and a guaranteed room on the bottom floor for easy outdoor access. All in all I would recommend shopping around before settling for this hotel, at this price point you can do A LOT better on Vancouver Island

ZERO. It’s a very disgusting hotel. I found stains on the duvet and the curtains. It looks like blood or ketchup. They told me that they didn’t offer a housekeeping service during my stay due to Covid. When I asked the reception to clean the duvet or send another one, they told me they don't offer laundry service due to COVID. If I need to clean that nasty duvet, I have to take it to the laundry service on the next street. I think they should increase the amount of cleaning due to Covid.

Pool and hot tub are closed without mentioning on the website. We were told the room does not come with breakfast! We booked via Expedia and there was no option to choose or not choosing the breakfast. No place close by to get breakfast! Location is not the best!

The staff at the front desk were friendly and polite. The rooms are extremely average, dated but at least clean. The restaurant had adequate offerings on the menu and the staff were friendly but they could have been a bit more attentive. The restaurant was very empty so it could just be more difficult to time when to return to the table. The location was strange. Right beside a Costco and not close to anything interesting, which is likely why the cost was affordable. Would not stay here again because of the location.Rooms: Average but datedNearby activities: No interesting activities nearby without driving. Right beside a Costco, no view, no neighbourhood ambiance at all.Safety: Seemed very safe

I was there in the pub/lounge only.Food is good. Service was spotty.Parking is a challenge and the Hotel.did not bother to shovel the adjacent side walk of snow.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and I have enjoyed both my stays… It’s about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown and I like how there’s no parking fee here, and that it’s self parking, no valet (downtown Marriott is valet only). As soon you walk into the lobby you will notice the ScentAir smell… It’s in the lobby, hallways and elevators. And OMG it smells so good!!! It makes me want to get that for my place…It is right next door to Costco, and a quick drive over to stores like Sephora, Michaels, Marshalls, Starbucks, etc.The beds are comfy and the blackout blinds work lovely. You can control the heat or AC easily, and I prefer to keep the fan running for white noise, so it keeps a steady temperature at whatever you set it at.I am not a big fan of the shower, as you have to walk all the way in to turn it on… It doesn’t make much sense that way…Their lotion and body wash smells great. And they leave you a mouthwash and a nail file kit in the bathroom to use if you need. The Marriott App is easy to use if you need to order any other supplies. You just go to requests and select what you need, they can either leave it at your door or knock for you to accept it.They leave a local company can of pop to sample in your room as well, nice local touch! It is easy to order food from DD/Skip/Uber to your room, as the elevators do not require card access, so your driver can bring it up right to your door.I ate once at the restaurant downstairs, and it was really good! (I took it to go). However I was trying to call to order ahead, and the phone extensions are confusing, and the restaurant doesn’t pick up the phone as they’re busy, so you might have to go to the bar to order to go if you want that.I’ll definitely stay here again!

The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not far from the legion, where our staff party was located.

Their supposed to be kids friendly but put the complimentary breakfast inside the bar so my teens couldn't access with us. They offer food to buy in lobby but not cutlery or dishes, don't even have straws , I asked for anything. Staff were rude and snooty. The vending machines ate our money , got it back went to another floor for the same thing to happen. They offer as little towels and toilet paper ect as possible and act weird and offended when you ask for more. And the rooms are clearly spot cleaned and have silver fish. Wifi doesn't even properly reach the rooms and ended up using most my data for the stay. Definitely not the luxury hotel they claim to be or even worth the prices they charge. MOre like a motel in a pretty dress.
