My new favourite sandwich spot in the city, the owner is very friendly & kind and makes excellent pulled pork that tastes great (in the pulled pork sanwiches).

WE WILL MISS YOU. It was my son’s favorite taco place in Victoria . Wish you the best in your next endeavours man! :(

It was okay, a bit expensive and not special. Friendly service, okay ambient.

Fresh and tasty Latin food. I enjoyed a bowl of rice, beans, and pork, with a lovely garnish of pickled red onion. The pork was tender, and terrifically seasoned. My beans and rice were good, and the meal came together nicely. It’s a small spot with minimal atmosphere, but it smells great, and the fellow who runs it was friendly. If you’re looking for an affordable, well rounded meal downtown, this is a good option.

How long has it been under new ownership? My former experience was utterly awful

The Cubano sandwich is amazing. Fresh ingredients and crispy roll. And it's only $12; it's hard to beat the price, especially downtown. The tres leches cake is very good too. It's a bit too sweet (with the condensed milk) for one person to finish it all at once, but I would definitely recommend it if you have two or more people to share it.

Fresko One World Cafe is a true hidden gem in downtown Victoria. The smell of fresh ingredients and the sound of Latin music make it feel like you’ve stepped into another world. The owner puts real care into every dish, running the place entirely on his own. My chorizo breakfast burrito and coffee were only $14, fresh, high-quality and packed with flavour. The service is fast, the portions are generous, and the vibe is warm and welcoming.

The late-night hours are on hold for the off-season, but they’ll be back in the summer. There’s a great little seating area out front that looks like it turns into a bar when the weather is nice. Can’t wait to see it in full swing.
