I have been buying bread at Fry Bakery for a long time....the pleasure starts when you leave your home knowing you are going to have a great experience.......then you arrive and the smell.....Once in the door( the wait is worth it...) you are personally attended by a very friendly staff......The breads...hand pies etc are 100% delicious......Go for it!!!!!!

I buy bread from here every once in a while. It's great, feels like it's full of healthy, hearty, things. Today I was driving by so I stopped to pick up something. I decided on two ham and cheese croissants, which were $8.50 each. As I got into my car I chided myself for making such an expensive, impulsive, purchase. But they were divine. Perfection. Does it justify the price tag? I don't know, but they were a treat.

Only if it was possible to give more stars!! We were visiting from Toronto and not a day goes by that we don’t talk about this place. It’s like I still remember the taste, EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD! Send help😭

Fry's Red Wheat is my Go To Bakery in Victoria without a doubt. To me, it is the best bread in town and they source their flour locally so it adds up to be a perfect loaf of deliscious bread!

Portlanders on a road trip. Thank you for keeping us fed during our drive home. Best bakery, friendly folk, and everyone in Victoria loves this local gem.

Usually a lineup but definitely worth the wait. I’ve tried a lot of their pastries and all amazing. They have a unique selection of sourdough breads. Service has always been wonderful 🙂

Overhyped and overpriced imho. We tried the pizza slices on Sunday. $10 for a slice with very little toppings, barely warm, literally nothing special about it. Also tried the sourdough - there are way better and cheaper sourdoughs around.
The long lineup, lack of sitting and washrooms does not add to the experience.

The best German rye bread and Sourdough in town! Nothing comes close to their quality and service. Highly recommend them.
