Ordered the dragon role. Was supposed to be 6 pieces, only got 5. I asked about it and the girl said “ oh, I just cut it into 5”. I’d hate to see how thin it would be if it was cut into 6.
Not great sushi either. Low mall grade.

Very surprised by the lower than expected reviews of others. Comparing the food here to Edo across the food court, this is noticeably fresher, much higher quality, and obviously a family business.
Our family of 5 had a great meal here for a very reasonable price. Thank you Hiro!

Poor Sushi and Maki. Literally rice and protein. No sauce, no veg, no soul. Service is good

Good flavour, but the teriyaki poke bowl only had 3 pieces of broccoli & onion. A little dissapointed because of the price— I was expecting more veggies.
The menu also shifts on the TV very fast, so it's very hard to read

Do not eat here - even if you are starving. I bought 2 Ebi and. Tempura yam roll. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the bag until I got home. You’ve hit an all time low Horo, to charge 2.66 for an ebi that is a tiny canned shrimp - cut in half !!!! The tempura roll - was soggy, deep fries slices of yam. No roll, no ginger , no rice. With so many OTHER fantastic places in Victoria, I will never stop here again. Ever.

Meager portions of sashimi. I thought perhaps they were running low.

Unfortunately not worth the money (even if prices are affordable). I got the yam roll and the “california roll” (didn’t have tempura shrimp in it) and both were lacking flavour. The yam was also not completely cooked.

We tried some things from the philipino menu that was really great! Unfortunately I can’t remember what it’s all called but I really recommend trying it.

Surprisingly good!
Me and my boyfriend got the beef bento box and the chicken udon!
It wasn’t bad! The beef was good quality too compared to other places in this price point and the chicken was nice too!
We’d probably return!

The Kare Kare is delicious - warm and peanuty, I also had very flavourful California Rolls that came with a tasty bowl of Miso Soup w/tofu bits. Very friendly staff and a super meal!

I ordered the salmon avocado roll . It I was the worst sushi I have ever had. The salmon was very fatty with a strong fishy taste. A total waste of money.
Also the baby high hair seems defective, my grandson was unable to sit down and then his leg got stuck when I tried to take him out leaving him with a big welt and bruise . The management didn’t even seem to care.
Not impressed at all

Ordered a veggie udon. Way overpriced at $17+. Small portion and long wait even though it wasn't busy. Probably won't come back.
got the teriyaki chicken bento box, chicken was slimy, stringy but still somehow too chewy. rice was dry and overcooked, except on the sushi it came with where the rice was wet and soggy. Speaking of sushi, worst sushi I've ever had, I'd prefer grocery store sushi. tempura yam was battered very strangely or not fried for long enough because the consistency was more like pancakes and was soft. I honestly feel a bit bad writing this review because the owner seems very kind but I blew 50 bucks on this and now my stomach is upset.
Surprisingly poor quality for a restaurant that seems to have been here for quite some time. The sushi was really disappointing, tasting like the latex gloves the employee wore to prepare it, the wasabi was runny, rice unevenly cooked, and the California roll had far too much mayonnaise just pouring out of the ends. At least the Salmon and Tuna on the nigiri seemed fresh enough. I guess I'm just puzzled as to why this place is still here with a 3.8 average rating?
