The food is fantastic, the wait of 30 minutes in a very quiet restaurant was not. Waiting to be seated but then then asked to order at the counter makes little sense. The staff member with braided hair on Sunday 30th November does not want to be there, was very slow to greet us, spoke to us in a mumbling teenage voice and we watched them clear 2 tables as slow and inefficiently as possible as they barely pick up their feet and made trips to the kitchen without an purpose. I love the food here and I will keep coming back. But the way they’ve structured seating and ordering is confusing every time I’ve come. It’s a nice restaurant and they expect you to sit and then come up to the till and wait in sometimes a long line to order. They desperately need table service. The quality of the food and the atmosphere begs for it.
It was my first visit with my girlfriends, and we were all impressed! House of Boateng Café is a true gem—fresh, creative food, excellent coffee, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, the prices are very reasonable, and there’s free parking in the back which makes the visit even easier. We’ll definitely be returning!
