I love the atmosphere, but you need to be in love with pasta to like the food. I prefer to have a drink or dessert here. And you need reservation to get a spot.

The server and everyone was great. The Marco Polo pasta i ordered was delicious however don’t really like the mango in it, does not really make sense to me (noticed there was a lot of twists to classic dishes) the other food such as the pizza was not great at all. It was good because of the service, but in terms of the food nothing special.

This is our must go to restaurant when we visit Victoria via boat for 30 years. First-year there I ordered the BlackBerry halibut and every year since then I order it and it's still my favorite cooked perfect, it's hard to make halibut moist like butter. My husband loves the olive tapenade they serve with their focaccia bread and will get an extra bowl to pour on his pasta. Best cheese cake too. Great culture, attention to detail, they even use copper water pitchers, the water is great.

We went for our Birthday dinner and there were 6 of us. We were very much looking forward to it! They only offer 5:30 or 8:30pm for parties of 6, and we chose the 8:30pm seating. David was our waiter and must have been having a very OFF Day! He greeted us letting us know our table needed to get our full orders in ASAP as the kitchen had a very long day and wants to go home. Rude… It just got worse and worse from there. Rushing, rude comments and even dismissing some of the ladies at the table trying to order! It was a weird and awkward experience. I have read so many reviews boasting great staff, kind and welcoming but that wasn’t our experience at all. I want to have a redo but for almost $1000 meal, it’s safe to say I’m apprehensive to say the least!!!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Il Terrazzo overall. The food and service were absolutely amazing, and everything we ordered — from appetizers to dessert — was delicious.
At the start, service was a bit slow as it took around 15 minutes for our server to get to our table. However, once things got going, the experience was excellent. Our server did a great job and was very attentive despite clearly being responsible for many tables at once. It didn’t seem to be his fault — rather, the restaurant appeared to be short-staffed.
For an even better guest experience, it might help to hire more servers so each can focus on fewer tables. We noticed a table next to us (who arrived before us) received their food quite late and ended up packing it to go because they had a show to catch.
Overall, the food and atmosphere were fantastic, and with a bit more staffing support, the dining experience could be even more seamless.
One note get bigger tables as the table are way too small..

A hidden gem of Victoria, Il Terrazzo is as spectacular as it is tasty. Incredible and cozy atmosphere with an 1890's Itallian vibe, soft lighting and a unique floor plan with antiques around every corner. Beyond the noir, every meal course was more delicious than the last with complex tastes, great portions and immaculate presentation. I'll definitely be back again.
