Fantastic business. Good people running and serving good food. Only regret is not checking this place out earlier!

This is hard to write as this place has great food. I feel really alienated right now though, first the woman handed my sandwich to the wrong person and when I corrected her she loudly exclaimed in a crowded deli "YOU'RE JAY???" just because I'm a female with a males name. I need you to understand how embarrassing and alienating that was for me. As someone that has struggled with identity, that was not an example of a safe space. I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it but intent doesn't negate impact and I've got a sour taste in my mouth which is unfortunate because it wasn't from the food as the food is really good. I didn't ask to be ostricised today, I just wanted a yummy sandwich :( it'll be a while before I come back. The fact I would consider going back speaks to the quality of the food.

The ultimate meatball sends me on a spiritual journey every time I eat it. It truthfully is the best meatball sub I’ve ever had, and the vibes in the store are absolutely unmatched. The staff are beyond hospitable, super warm and welcoming to everyone that walks in, from a regular to a first time shopper. The only difference between the two is they’ll ALWAYS address their regulars by name. While waiting for my sub I’ll hear the workers saying “hi Tom!” “Hey Caroline, how are you!” “David! My man!”Truthfully a Victoria gem and a must-go.

Came here on a recent getaway to Victoria. Hubs and I are always looking for an excellent sandwich. We got to town via the clipper on a Thursday mid morning. We walked here and got here around 11:30. We knew we had chosen well when we saw the line of people waiting to order spilling out onto the sidewalk. You order at the counter and proceed to pay. There are also all kinds of Italian import foods to shop from as well, though as far as we could see, everyone was here for a sandwich. My husband got the Mafioso sandwich and I had the Marco Pollo. He loved his, gave it 5/5 stars. My was quite delicious although it was a bit dry and lacking on the Aioli and Balsamic fig spread, 3/5. All in all, we would come back to try other sandwiches.
