Jack's Place

I want to like this place. I've been a couple times and it's a nice space and a general good menu. The dishes are a but hit or miss but mostly I have enjoyed what I've tried. The service is not good though. Last time was down right shocking. We waited about 15 min for someone to come to our table and take a drink order. I was so thirsty I was ready to go up and just ask for some water. We eventually, after trying for a while, managed to flag someone over who then went to find our waitress, who was apparently running around like a chicken with her head cut off while a group of girls stood their by the kitchen door. When the waitress did show up she said, sorry, they just got "slammed". The restaurant was half full if that. Your staff need to learn to work together as a team. Honestly, most of them seemed too young to be at a place of that scale, or at least the scale I think you are trying to be.

Parking: Very few parking spaces in front of the restaurant and because it's a resort it is unclear where else you should park.

Really cozy restaurant/bar with quality food. Came here after an awesome hike for some great food and mocktails. Views are really nice too! Will definitely be coming back here after every hike!

This restaurant used to be our family’s go to spot but, the food and service has severely gone down hill in the last few years.

Jacks... right Jordy, Bryce and the likes of you.... Simply not good people! Westin Bear Mountain is a much better option with exceptional views - great staff as well -

First night got the calamari, and siracha chicken wrap which is huge. Second nite got potato skins which were cold cheese was hard and onions were not fresh but obviously had been reheated, bno flavor at all

I went here with my family for lunch
I ate an tuna sandwich and it was so delicious wow, the coffe was also very good and you have a big selection of different styled coffe. The waitor was so friendly not in the „I want a big tip“ way rather in the I am friendly because I am a good person! At first we ordered to go but after we paid like 3min later we changed our mind and asked if we can change the order to eat there. And the waitor immidiately ran into the kitchen and told everybody to change our order and it worked out perfectly and we had a good time!!

Food was good yet service was horrible. The servers stood around the bar chatting. There was 5 tables and at least 6 servers. We were not asked if we would like another drink. We waited for the bill and finally gave up and went up to the bar to pay. Again, we were ignored. No wonder restaurants are going broke. Prices are high everywhere, no way am I paying for indifferent service. They could have cared less.

The location is hard to beat but you’re kinda stuck for food options.

Tried the Meatballs and Linguine and it’s uncomfortably sweet, like as if they add bbq sauce to the dish? Very strange and unappealing.

I think low expectations is the key here and stick to the salads? Even though they dice the hell out of the overcooked chicken.

I guess they’re trying their best?

Server had come over and offered cocktails in pitchers to us, then looked over at the young woman at the table (about the same age as the server) and told her she is “probably underage and has a total baby face”… slightly insulting as a young woman about same age as the server, while out to eat dinner.

Recommended dishes: Steak Sandwich

The Linguini with meatballs and baked cheese looked incredibly appetizing but was a little too sweet. The steak was a little cold, but we did change our order a few times, so they may have neglected it a little in favor of getting our food out at the same time. Service was great, and we enjoyed the beautiful view, our sushi and pizza, and the various sports channels on the television.
