Waitress seemed a bit defensive about needing it."Gluten-free " jacks burger:They say their is the ability to make it gf, what they mean is no gf bun, and chopped up lettuce for a "lettuce wrap" but doesn't actually wrap around the meat. It's eaten with fork and knife burger. A pathetic excuse. It was Awful! Greasy, no flavor and the lettuce was brown! Also because it was gf, they decided to put a FULL GLUTEN onion ring on top?! Way to poison someone who may have celiac. (Waitress asked are you ok to pick it off? I am, however some one else may not be.) I picked it off and gave to my hubby. But definitely not impressed.*** Allergies/sensitivities its not taken seriously here.Gluten-free spinach and artichoke dip. Husband decided to have the pita bread, and I the tortillas chips I asked if they were wheat or corn. Waitress said I think corn. Never confirmed. And when they brought it out, the pita bread was right next to the tortillas chips. Cross contamination.Again poor understanding of allergens & sensitive eating. Sad to say we will NOT be back, and if you have allergens or sensitive eating plan, AVOID!!Dietary restrictions: **avoid red flag. Cannot understand about cross contamination. Nor do they take allergies seriously.

Worst service ever. I would have understood if the restaurant was very busy but it was already past dinner time and not busy when we came but they served us dirty dishes which okay, anyone could make mistakes but then they proceeded to ignore us the whole time when we were actively trying to ask for water. In terms of food the pizza was quite small but tasted decent. Cauliflower bite were good and the atmosphere was great.

I would like to give it another try sometime, but I didn't have the greatest service when I visited.The food was good, but I didn't receive what I ordered. I tried the Sriracha chicken wrap with a side of Cajun garlic fries. Instead, I got a chicken wrap, sans Sriracha, and a plate of truffle fries. It was still good, but not what I ordered, and I'm not the biggest fan of truffle. It took forever to get the servers' attention, and I finally had to holler across the restaurant when she walked past me for the 4th time without doing a food quality check. She was very kind and made sure to discount the bill for the mistake, but not after charging me $3 for a side of hot sauce that I had asked for because my wrap had no sriracha on it to begin with. Once we finished we waited a very long time to get our bill. There were only 3 other tables in the whole place. Our server was incredibly nice and easy to talk to, but she was not great at the rest of her job, at least that day.Hopefully, this was just an off day, as I would like to return and try more of the food. I've heard nothing but great things about this place and will give it another try. It is in a beautiful spot, and the restaurant itself has a nice heated patio and a good vibe.

My partner and I came here for dinner this week and while he enjoyed his halibut and fries, I cannot say the same for my Hawaiian pizza. It was undercooked, the dough was chewy and the bottom was wet with grease.The service was nice and professional, however because of the quality (or lack thereof) of the food we will not be returning.

There is no beating this location. Located just steps outside Westin Bear Mountain resort, it is a prime location for a good meal outside of heading to Langford. The restaurant is cozy, service was quick, and my drinks overfloweth.Appetizers were solid. The wings were on point, the potato skins were tasty, and the fish tacos held together despite my clumsy fingers (did not try the sliders, but others on the table said they were good). For main course I ordered steak and sushi (spicy tuna rolls, to be exact). I asked my steak to be made rare (with trepidation), and thankfully the restaurant delivered (except for the tips on both sides, which was understandably difficult to get right). I found the sushi to be mild, though, which was rather disappointing, but the steak seasoning was great.Other diners on my table ordered halibut and chips, he enjoyed it. The linguini was also good, according to my neighbor, but he couldn't finish it due to the generous portion. Overall, a good choice if you're staying in Westin and is looking for a bite without having to drive down the mountain.

Food tasted good but the $18 Cajun chicken Cesar was tiny. We had gotten it a few weeks prior (for takeout) and it was a huge and delicious portion. This was not the case on February 6th (5:30pm). Me and my boyfriend both received a tiny portion of salad with a disappointing amount of chicken. Super unfortunate because the salad was delicious, just not the quality we expected. We ended up having to get some ingredients together to bulk it up and make it an adequate meal. Wont be ordering takeout again, too unreliable, especially for the cost. Although, the food it good and it’s a great place to dine-in, and I would still recommend.

Not happy! I have been going to Jack’s with my family for 10 years. Our last visit was December 26, 2023. I don’t live on the island, but every time I’m there, we go to Jack’s for chicken wings; it’s tradition! However, the quality of the food, in particular the wings, is like a roller coaster. Up and down it goes. They can’t maintain the good quality that they used to have. Our wings were so over cooked that it was impossible to enjoy or to tell them apart . Unfortunately we had to take them to go because they were closing early that night, so we couldn’t exchange them. Just a very very disappointing dinner. I don’t see here if I can post the pictures, but my Hot wings, which are supposed to be covered with red hot sauce, were charred and super dry! $100 spent on 3 drinks and dry wings!
