We were waiting in the CIBC ATM line directly next to this food establishment on the day before Black Friday, around 2 pm. A couple was at the counter being served by a young Asian man. Some serious bad hygiene (lack of) going on here.Handling money and food at the same time, no gloves, no mask.....the worst was when the server actually reached up and vigorously scratched his head while he was completing their popcorn order! Yuck!If it's this bad now especially during Covid, I can only imagine the lack of cleanliness in normal times or in the areas not seen by customers.I love popcorn but I wouldn't be buying it here,after this "eye opener" yesterday. Cleanliness and food prep SHOULD be a given, unfortunately that is too often not the reality.?Helpful votes are always appreciated!

I usually love coming to the kernels in Mayfair mall, been going there for years now. But today the lady working actually started an argument with me when I asked if she could leave the bag open so I could snack on it. She told me no and that it was a hazard. I said oh this must be new as they usually offer to keep the bag open for me. She said in her 3 months there she had never and never will keep the bag open. I mentioned that they always do for me and she said that those staff members are probably part time staff and don’t know anything. Anyways I told her that I hope her day got better and I truly hope it did.

This location has been around for a long time! I remember coming here when I was but a little kid. Not much has changed. Great selection, friendly staff. On certain days they have a buy 1, get 1 half price deal :)

Love the Hot Thai Chili. If you're just getting seasonings, and don't want a custom mix, go to Wal-Mart. They carry a decently selection of the staple flavors, including All Dressed, which they don't carry here, for nearly half the price.
