I have nothing bad to say about Kinu it was a great experience from start to finish! I was just there tonight and and was pleasantly surprised by the remodel it's very pretty in there. Our server/hostess gave us a lovely story about the remodel and theme of the restaurant Great food from the appetizers to the dessert, highly recommend the whipped goat cheese and naan and the saffron cheesecake. Amazing food, service, and even the bathrooms were pretty haha. Makes me want to come back and try more of the menu. I got a job offer email at the end of our meal too so maybe this place brings luck as well! 😅

an Uptown gem! Service was warm and professional from the moment we walked in and there were many interesting dishes to choose from, restaurants with sharing plates can be challenging for vegetarians but Kinu had a great selection! I loved the chai and the naan and whipped goat cheese + aloo tikki burger were my fav dishes we ordered.

Kinu is by far one of the most welcoming and delicious restaurants I have ever been in. Staff are friendly and inviting and the menu is amazing! Celiac friendly, as well as vegetarian friendly! You're always treated like family when you come in. I highly recommend Kinu if you're in the area!

First time visiting this restaurant. The hostess Muskan was very friendly, the right amount of attentiveness and gave excellent recommendations. Every dish we ordered was very tasty, authentic and beautifully presented. Definitely will be coming again. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.

While on a short family vacation from Vancouver to the island we decided to have lunch at Kinu by sizzling tandoor at Uptown boulevard this afternoon after checking the reviews.
We ordered Tokari chaat and couple of more dishes .
On arrival of the first dish which was Tokari chaat , we were shocked to see a strand of black hair sticking out of it.
This reflects the poor hygiene standard of the restaurant.
I immediately told the waitress who took away the dish .
Also ordered Tandoori roti’s without oil / butter on it . However, the roti’s served had butter on it .
Unexpectedly the meal at Kinu turned out to be a big disappointment.
Hope the management takes care of it .

Very much enjoyed our dinner here while visiting greater Victoria, the atmosphere is that of a cool bar / lounge and the food was very delicious. You can get standard Indian fare but I would strongly recommend their fusion dishes, everything we had was so delicious

Great service and overall experience! The mango lassi was a highlight—tangy, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. I highly recommend it. The chai tea, however, was a bit milder than I expected, so I'd go for the lassi instead.
The Torki Chaat was fantastic—delicious flavors and beautifully presented. **must have dish.
The butter chicken was good, but the chicken tasted a little aged, and the sauce was a bit on the salty side. That said, paired with garlic naan, it was still enjoyable.
Definitely a great spot for an upscale Indian dining experience. I would recommend it for those looking for a top-tier atmosphere and flavorful dishes!

First time here, and it did not disappoint. The food was mouth watering good and the service was 10/10! Will 100% recommend if you love great food and exceptional customer service. The butter chicken and curry with the lamb shank 11/10!
