L'Authentique Poutine and Burgers

Hands down the best burger I've had in Victoria. Fast and friendly services with covered outdoor dining. Oh, the poutine is pretty good too.

This is a little shop tucked away down a couple flights of stairs. It would be easy to miss. They have a great selection of poutine dishes with generous portions and offer burgers too. The regular size poutine was big enough that we couldn't finish it. We had the baked potato and Montréal poutines. Both were delicious. Only outdoor seating and no public restroom. Check them out.

Super simple, delicious food with some Quebecios takes. You aren’t going to find big crazy stunt-burgers here to make the tourists “Oooooo and Ahhh” at the ridiculousness of it. You are just going to find a really frickin good, simple smash burger and probably the best poutine in BC.

The regular burger is great, but I recommend the Mechant burger with combo poutine if you are hungry. Seasonal specials pop up from time to time with locally sourced ingredients (Chanterelle mushroom burger is 🔥🔥)

The poutine here is legitimately amazing. Simple, authentic and delicious. No store-bought powdered “brown sauce” or funky overly-salted gravey, just fresh home-made gravey, fresh local cheese curds and perfect fries.

Skip everything else on the waterfront and come here for lunch or dinner. You won’t regret it.

Always one of my first stops in Victoria. I've tried poutine from the east coast to the west and this is the best. I think it's because the fries are very well cooked and crispy. The rest are more just like having mashed potatoes and gravy. Great staff as well.
