This store has inconsistent produce, poor follow-through, and little regard for repeat business! I love supporting locally owned businesses, but after giving Lifestyles so many opportunities, I am unable to continue to support them! I spent at least $450 a month shopping at the store once a week! One day, realising I had forgotten my wallet, I asked to be allowed to take the groceries home (they had both frozen and cold items) and return later to pay. The owner happened to be in when they called for him. He responded "no" when I introduced myself and told him I was a regular. I exited the store without my groceries. However, I went back because it's the closet organic store to my home.

They ran out of rice bread frequently. I asked what the problem with the rice bread was. They were taking orders because the stock did not move quickly. After they had enough, they would place an order with the Vancouver-based supplier. My contact, name, and quantity were provided. I checked in weeks one, two, and three, but there was no bread. No one bothered to give me a call. A very long time later, I got a call to pick up my four loaves. I explained I checked in for three weeks, and no one bothered to contact me when the order did not arrive, so I made alternate arrangements with Patisserie Daniel.

Fast-forward to COVID-19, when retail establishments had to adhere to stringent surface cleaning and disinfection protocols. One cashier in particular would only clean after several customers. I questioned her that day. She denied what I said. Two customers spoke up and called her out. The women were then waiting for me outside and said she was usually rude and did not adhere to the COVID protocol.

Well, this past weekend, I purchased an organic papaya that was not good inside! When I called the store about this yesterday, I was bounced around three times before the Grocery Manager answered. I shared my whole experience and the papaya issue. She clarified that it was before her time and that they have new management now. She really cared as we communicated. She said she would issue me a gift card (GC) in lieu of the papaya. I told her that I would be there after work on the same day. When I arrived, the cashier tried to help me. She said that I needed to talk to someone "down there" (by the vitamins) because there was no GC, no one knew anything, the vault was locked, and there were no managers. I went to talk to a woman by Vitamins and told her about my entire experience to date. She was a terrific listener and empathetic, but she acknowledged there was nothing she could do but to come back another day.

Anyone can get good organic produce, good service with much more competitive price at The Market Garden on Catherine St. with 4.7 rating and Mother Nature's Market on Cook St. with a 4. rating better than Lifestyles.

This location is very close to my work as such I've been here a few times when I needed this and that for dinner.
Their selection is extremely limited and what they do have doesn't offer much choice. I also find they don't have common items like tartar sauce.
Needless to say I go here less and less because I've always been disappointed.

When I come into town.. I shop at the Douglas Street location.. a very nice store pretty much everything you can think of...... It's to be expected that prices are not particularly cheap ...and not a great place for someone on a very limited budget. They seem to have a fairly constant turnover of cashiers none of them particularly friendly it seems....but all in all I do enjoy popping in there when I'm in the area

The is really not my typical place to buy food, but I was directed there as they list that they sell bison meat. The only carried the ground, and it was 37% higher in price than that of Save-On. I can understand why people shop here, it's just not my cup of tea

An excellent source of organic healthy foods. A lot of gems, hard to find brands. Not just organic, but the best of breed. Highly recommend

Lifestyles has lost a regular customer over an $8 chapstick. I purchased a few items last week and forgot to pack the lip balm I purchased, it was left on the deck. Lifestyles has a policy to only track this information for two days. Too bad for me when I came back three days later. I have worked grocery and retail for over 30 years and every place I have worked has a system for paid for & left behind items- it is as simple as a note in the logbook, or as sophisticated as a piece of paper where you log left behind/paid for items. Instead of a reasonable and ethical policy, Lifestyles has chosen to lose a loyal customer over $8. I will not return until this is fixed, and I will also tell my friends to ignore this place. It isn't hard to do, the parking is terrible and you can literally buy all the stuff they sell at other markets.

I have recently started shopping at Lifestyle Markets.
It has been my go-to, on/off for years.
More often, as of late, as I have made lifestyle changes and have been trying out new products.
Recently, I discovered that Santevia has a new water jug/ filtration system.
Lifestyles had the lowest price.
My daughter wanted to purchase it for me for Mothers Day.
She lives on the mainland.
Well, low & behold, there is the Mail order department that takes credit cards over the phone.
I was not aware of this until I spoke with Stewart on the phone. Him and the assistant grocery manager, Aliza ( not sure of spelling), went over, above & beyond my expectations. There were some fine details that got worked out, and my daughter was able to get the sale price. Marten took the order this morning.
I am picking it up tomorrow and am so excited.
Thank you to Stewart, Aliza & Marten for all of your help in this timely matter.
I love shopping here!!!

I needed to update!!
I went to the store to pick up my product, and it wouldn't fit on my mobility scooter.
Amber in Comestics was all too happy to assist me.
She made arrangements for Greg to deliver it to me.
It looked like it would be a few days.
No problem.
Then, later in the afternoon, Amber called to let me know that Greg was on his way!!!
I can't praise all of these wonderful employees enough.
So, thank you again for everyone involved in getting my water dispenser!
