We recently ordered a wedding cake from Lighthouse. It looked and tasted amazing. They made a really lovely floral design and the flavours were great. The person who was meant to pick up our order forgot and Vikki waited after close for a friend that I recruited to pick up the cake to bring it to our venue in Sooke. We cannot express how much we appreciated that she did that. They could have easily closed up shop and went home since it was our mistake and they offer delivery - but she took the time to reach out and make sure we got our cake. As an added bonus, we had a really happy bridesmaid who usually can't have baked goods because of a severe nut allergy, you made her night. Thank you so much for the delicious cake and kindness!

Called for info on cake order on a Thursday before long weekend and was told 2 days was required. Called the next day and was told info was not correct and they would not be able to make due to extra day off.

We ordered a custom cake and although they couldn't match exactly what we had asked from our inspo, they were able to deliver on what they promised and they didn't charge extra. I had simply added the extra decoration they couldn't do myself. We ordered the lemon cake and it was delicious, and our guests agreed.

I recently placed a custom order for a heart-shaped birthday cake with vintage piping and decorative fondant flowers. The flavour I chose was Hedgehog. When I sent the initial request via email, I was promptly responded to in a kind and efficient manner.
Upon pickup, I was greeted by friendly staff, who happily and neatly packed my cake into a takeaway box, carefully ensuring the structure of the cake was unaffected by the surrounding box.
The 6” cake offered around 8-10 generous slices, to my surprise. The texture of the cake was light, while the buttercream was smooth and complimented the flavour of the cake. The flavour itself, hedgehog, was a delightful blend of alternating layers of chocolate and vanilla cake, layered with hazelnut and espresso buttercream. Truly delectable.
The presentation of the cake was evidently crafted with care and precision. In comparison to other bakeries that offer similar custom orders, Lighthouse Cake Co offers competitive prices at very reasonable rates, considering the quality of their goods.
All considered, Lighthouse Cake Co crafts beautiful cakes that not only look impressive, but taste it, too. All the guests at my birthday party were also very pleased with the cake. I will absolutely continue to purchase cakes, especially custom orders, from this local, family-owned bakery!

Vikki and team are awesome to deal with and create delicious and beautiful 🎂 and cookies. My wife had me drive here from Saanich to pickup her cake and it was totally worth the drive 🚗
Raspberry Decadence Cake was so light and delicious, everyone was really impressed and raved over the cake!! Thank you 🙏🏼 Also ordered gluten free chocolate cupcakes and they were also gobbled up!

It was my first time at this charming little bakery. Never noticed it before because of how tucked away it is… but I was on the search for pumpkin pie and they had one left. Ended up picking up a few other pastries, tarts and cannoli’s and everything was a hit. The pumpkin pie was rich in flavour, and the cannoli filling was light and delicate. A wonderful little bakery with super friendly service, and a nice variety of desserts to choose from. Oh and the coconut tart was my favourite. Not too sweet, just right yum! I’ll be back for sure.

Recently I picked up a Happy 90th birthday cake from Lighthouse Bakery, that was created with some specific colors and designs for a surprise birthday celebration of a beloved Metchosin resident. The cake was ...perfection. in its look and it's taste. It truly added an elegance to our special celebration. Thankyou Lighthouse team!!

LCC did an amazing job on our wedding cake and wedding cupcakes! I am allergic to peanuts and gluten intolerant and a few of our wedding guests were vegan and had multiple allergies. They were able to cover all of us with food sensitivities and also make the desserts delicious for EVERYONE! We had many compliments on the cupcakes. We chose to have an 8 inch personal cake for bride and groom and we got gf vanilla with strawberry cream cheese and dark chocolate ganache filling. They listened to our request to do plain white and we topped the cake off with real flowers from A Sea of Bloom florist in Sooke. Delicious bakery!
