I placed an order 2–3 weeks before Christmas for a birthday that falls right after the holiday. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told that my custom cake was not ready because the person who took my order failed to submit it to the decorator.
This is extremely frustrating. The cake was a custom surprise for my 3-year-old, who had been very excited about it. During the busy holiday season, I was scrambling last minute to find an alternative, which was nothing close to the unicorn cake I had planned for my kiddo.
This experience was highly unprofessional, and I no longer trust this business with custom orders. This will be my first and last order with them. They gave me a refund and were apologetic and offered a free ‘over the counter’ cake which I did not accept as I did not want a standard cake.

Very disappointed, I ordered 12 items and they were packaged on top of one another in the box. I asked the lady, won't they be smushed she said they looked fine. I get home to decorate my plate for the Christmas gathering and find that the lemon tart was stuck to the side of the box, the rum balls were shedding in layers etc. Presentation along with taste was why I considered your desserts. I could not serve these to my company as well as I paid over $30. Very disappointed customer.

Lighthouse Cake Co. made us the most delicious and beautiful cake and cupcakes for our wedding in August! We enjoyed working with them every step of the way, from the tasting to the big day. Vikki and her team are extremely talented. We had a small cake for cutting and cupcakes to share with guests all in the same flavour. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and the cake was spot on to our reference photo.
I’d highly recommend the vanilla cake with lemon cream cheese icing and blackberry purée. We still have some slices in our freezer and I am currently drooling thinking about thawing one out for later.
They even delivered to our venue for a small fee and added the cake topper that our florist had provided.

Lighthouse Cake Co. has this cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a little dessert sanctuary on Goldstream Ave. Their black forest cake is honestly the kind of thing you plan an event around. It’s rich without being heavy, beautifully balanced, and just ridiculously delicious. I always call about a week ahead to place my cake orders, and they’ve never let me down.
If you’re in a pinch, though, their cookies and pastries are such a lifesaver. You can pop in for something sweet and walk out with treats that taste homemade in the best possible way.
Definitely take a peek at their cake lineup on their site. It’s the kind of menu that makes you instantly rethink your dessert priorities.
Unfortunately, this bakery is really hit or miss. The baked goods in the showcase are often stale tasting, and their packaged cookies taste like they have been frozen and then thawed. Not as fresh as I would expect.

We got our Halloween Wedding cake from here, and it was devine! We ordered a 2 tier chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream on the inside, vanilla buttercream on the outside, and a black spiderweb pattern to fit the vibes. It was delicious and such a hit! Thank you!

We had one meeting where they took down all the details, and the final cake came out exactly as I had envisioned. It was absolutely stunning! Not only did it look perfect, but it also tasted amazing. Cake was dry and icing tasted like it was from a grocery store. I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday over the phone as I live out of province. I had to deliver and supply my own decorations to their bakery. They charged way too much for such a basic looking and tasting cake. There put minimal effort into making this milestone cake. Very disappointing.

Great cakes. One cake they always seem to have is the raspberry one that is a family favorite that spans multiple generations. Seems particularly interesting for those that have less than a sweet tooth, but even I can appreciate it.
