Sad to hear of it's closing. This gem has been excellent for a number of years, with particularly standout cocktails. Will be hard to replace.

Great service and drinks. The bartender accidentally recommended a swingers event for us. I'll leave it to you as to whether that is a plus or a minus.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. The room was beautiful and gave off the speakeasy vibe. Menu was small and focused. Food was amazing, mushroom pate, croquettes, the burger and scallops as well as the coffee cake.
Our server Jae was great, had good recommendations and banter.
Sad to hear this place is closing in 3 weeks. Very grateful to been able to experience it in its final days :(

Decided to have a birthday dinner here on a vacation and it is very much recommended. Forget what the exact drink was but dinner consisted of the 9oz New York Strip – Crispy Potatoes, Mushrooms, Onions, Lardons, Chimichurri along with 2 orders of 18 year whisky. Total if I hadn't gotten the second drink would have been about $60 which is extremely affordable for what you get. The Steak was absolutely amazing at medium rare, with the onions, potatoes, and mushrooms being a great companion. I loved how the taste of each item stood out, but also was great when ate together. Special props to the mushrooms as i've never had them so well.

Food and drinks were okay-ish. What was unacceptable was the behavior of the waiter. He made it clear that a 15% tip on a $120 dinner was simply not enough money. He loudly berated me and tried throwing me out of the restaurant. I suspect the owner pays their staff so poorly that a perfectly acceptable 15% tip is enough to throw them into hysterics.

The food is amazing, the wine list is well curated, the Empress 75 is delicious, and the beef cheeks fall apart perfectly. Our server was very sweet with our four year old and the aesthetic is lovely! Great location in town too!

This place is great.

Very nice ambience, with dim lighting. Not too big a space. Probably why the service is so great when they don't have to wait on too many customers. Everyone here is a professional. They've been doing this a while. There was required experience in their job posting.

I got the wagyu burger. Straight fire. I never appreciate when places try and reinvent a burger but Jumbo just upgraded the meat and added bacon jam (?). Their Shaft also uses Avalon choco milk (iykyk). Also, the Halibut Croquettes are straight grub as well.

Place is fantastic. do it.

Kid-friendliness: Although it is more adult-oriented, I have seen children there on the multiple times I've been.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor! Easily accessible.

Who do they think they are with those prices! Cocktails at $22-24, other places in town at half this price and just as good. Food was $25 and app and $35-50 main. Scallops small and over cooked, risotto was rice but not cooked well and almost no creamy sauce you’d expect, gnocchi was falling apart and inconsistent. Portion size was good. Service was polite but very slow between corses and for bill.
