Went to Lumache for the first time last Friday. I went in with high expectations based on what I'd heard through the grape vine and was absolutely blown away.
This is the best pasta/Italian in Victoria by a long shot. We ordered the radicchio salad and three of the pastas. The mushroom pasta was the standout for me, along with the duck tortelli. WOW. The pasta noodles themselves are made with care and perfectly cooked. The sauces and flavours were exceptional.
Cocktails were also a highlight...the negroni was perfect and I really enjoyed the amaro long island iced tea.
I will be back very soon to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend.

We happen to be in town for the opening night of Lumache. We were impressed by every dish. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch the chefs work; I even got to watch Chef James roll and stuff pasta before serving it to us—the definition of fresh pasta. The intention to detail the flavours and textures was amazing. The appetizers were unique and delicious, and their pastas were exceptional, with the highlight being their lasagna. The wine selection was unique and matched the quality of the dining experience. Lumache is a great night out!

What an incredible addition to the Victoria dining scene. The crew at Lumache are legit. They know how to dine! The experience is amazing and the space is beautiful. The food is to die for. Arancino, and the Agnolotti are a couple stands out. The drink list is well thought out. I can’t wait to dine here over and over again!
What an incredible new spot for Victoria! The food and drinks were amazing and unique. I loved that they had really good non-alc options. And honestly the value of the menu is great—you would pay the same if not more at any place that gets their ingredients delivered from Sysco. But instead you get delicious handmade food from locally sourced ingredients. And the room is warm, cozy, and cute as can be. Get everything but especially the arancini, radicchio salad, and the Swiss chard and duck pasta. Many date nights will be had here. Loved it ❤️

Such a great place! The food is absolutely amazing! We've been to a few of the Lumache pop-ups in the past and we were very excited to hear about the new restaurant. It's not only a meal, it's an experience. Perfectly timed between plates. They share information about where the ingredients come from. All local!! Great service. Kind and genuine people. Just incredible. One of those rare restaurants that practises what they preach & walks the walk. The quality of ingredients is phenomenal, the team’s care and skill are evident in every detail, and the whole experience is wrapped inside of a warm, welcoming, and eminently hospitable package. Went to try it out on opening night, and made birthday reservation for myself before the meal was even over. Bravo to the Lumache team!! Can’t wait to return!
