I had the crab cake breakfast and it was delicious! Our server, Joey, was super friendly and fun — he gave us great recommendations on what to order. The view was also amazing. If you get a seat by the window, you can watch the water taxis go by, which really adds to the experience.
The breakfast prices are similar to other places in town, but the ingredients here feel fresher and more generous. Combined with the great view and service, it’s definitely worth a visit!

We spent our Canada Day evening out on their balcony at a great table reserved for us by the lovely and quite helpful hostess, Irais. She really went above and beyond to ensure our first Canada Day in Victoria was quite special. Our server for our entire night was Yuki and she was perfectly attentive without hovering and she brought all of our food to our table hot & fast just as soon as the kitchen staff had it ready. Despite being very busy, Yuki always had a smile to share with every food and drink order she managed for us. It was a wonderful night only made possible by Irais and Yuki.

It was bery cold & windy and we couldn't get blankets soon enough (about an hour after arriving for everyone at the table), food orders were missed (2people had their main order missed and got it 40 minutes later than everyone else)and it took forever for anything to happen. We were freezing and unattended. Servers were nice but seemed stressed so we were sure there are some problems in the background. It was Canada Day prepaid dinner and it was unexpected how ill prepared they were. Worst dinner experience in a long time.

Perfect place for a warm summer day. We ate outside and preferred the shade but glad we had an extra layer to put on. Burger was very juicy. Chips were crisp. Loved the locally sourced ingredients listed on the menu since as locals we knew exactly where the food was from. Our out of town guests enjoyed the ambiance.

Our server was fantastic with just the appropriate amount and timing of attention. We weren't rushed, which was important because we were catching up after several years, and we chose this spot because of the view, the food and the setting/ambience which afforded us the ability to have a comfortable, unrushed conversation. It was pretty much perfect!

We went to Lure to celebrate our anniversary. We each ordered the miso steelhead bowl and the food was outstanding. The view of the active Victoria Harbour entertained us throughout dinner. The wine was expensive. I ordered the daily drink special (mojito) but was charged full price. And the service didn't meet the standard we'd experienced on past visits to Lure.

This was a disappointing visit to Lure. We had a reservation for noon for Father's Day with my elderly parents (in their 90's) they had us wait 15 minutes for the table which was free but needed cleaning. Once seated we didn't see our waitress for 15 minutes. Realizing that they were very short staffed we put in our full order of drinks and food immediately. We didn't not get our food for over 45 minutes and the waitress was no where to be found. The food for 6 people came out at 3 different times about 5 minutes apart. Very disappointing for a family celebration. We have been here a few times for dinner when it was much less busy and it was good but this showed me that they don't handle a full house well. I will say that the food was good and there was one staff member who clearly recognized that things were going sideways and tried to pull it together and help but it was beyond his control.
Wonderful experience! Food was delicious, service was excellent. view overlooking the water was beautiful. We will be back again.

Lure restaurant has the most amazing, friendly and efficient servers in Victoria! We return very regularly for breakfast just because Ellen is such a pleasant and amiable person that she makes our day! She always has a way to make people return again and again just to get a dose of her sunshine! Other servers such as Kate and Tess are also outstanding. They are fantastic ambassadors for Lure restaurant and the Hotel itself. We are a little less enamoured with the Chef's unusual fusion cuisine for happy hour and dinner.

The view is amazing.. Service was extremely poor. The waiter was polite and nice but the return to the table, clean up , new drink and food too a very long time. We were a table of 5 for dinner 4 were served at the same time with the 5th served 5+ minutes later

The service, view and ambience were great! Was our first visit and we came with friends but the food was so unexpected and of low quality. The truffle fries were soft and not crunchy or crispy The chicken Cobb salad was a disaster, my husband couldn't even finish it, no sauce, tasteless, the chicken didn't taste fresh and more like processed frozen pieces of chicken breast. The meal was like a hospital meal. Brussels sprouts were pretty good and the drinks were fine. Won't repeat it again
