I have been to Machiatto on the corner of Blanshard and Johnson a few times. I must say that I cannot comment on their food, as I've only visited for coffee first thing in the morning on my way to class at the Vancouver Island School of Art. The place is small but cozy and welcoming. The service was fast and efficient. I had a decaf Americano, which was quite good, although pricey. This is my favorite café in downtown Victoria. The food is always great, and the beverages are even better. I recommend the sausage and egg biscuit and the iced matcha or mocha to start your day.
Lovely coffee shop away from the more crowded areas of downtown. The service was very friendly, and the salads and drinks were excellent. I didn’t have a chance to try the sandwiches but they looked delicious. I highly recommend this cafe.
