Cozy litte restaurant that serves authentic chinese food. Tasted the same as in Guangzhou. My recommendation is the braised pork belly and to make a reservation in advance.

Visited with family during summer vacation and not only was this the best restaurant during our trip in Victoria, it was unexpectedly the best Chinese/Cantonese food I've ever had in North America, plus the owner/chef was quite friendly.

It can get busy during dinner but it is very much worth the wait and coming a bit earlier helps.

It’s good as always. It’s way too yum so we didn’t even have a chance to take leftovers home

I’ve not had better food since we moved back to North America from Shanghai. Family restaurants like this are rare. Enjoy!

Braised pork belly and fried rice noodles with squid were to die for!! Cute funky decor and very charming jazz made it cozy and fun. Made to order so they take their time but they brought out board games for anyone who seemed too anxious for food :)

Wonderful hidden gem, my father and I ate here on a weeknight and the cute cat decor and antique wood fixtures were a very nice touch. The wall mural and other artwork is gorgeous, it’s very nice to sit and quiet. There was no wait, but it was lively and there was a regular steam of customers coming in and out.

The chef who owns the restaurant spoke to us herself and we had a lovely conversation about her cats and how she became a chef in Victoria coming from China.

The food was freshly made, hot, authentically Chinese, with a French style utensil and plate presentation and deliciously spiced.

I will be coming back with as many friends as I can convince to make it here!

We recently dined in March restaurant in May 2025. The food and ambiance were excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised with the discovery of this restaurant in Victoria. Please note that this is not your typical Chinese restaurant that serves the run-of the mill dishes for a quick turn-around; instead, this restaurant serves authentic Cantonese cuisines. The chef is passionate about his cooking -- they use the freshest produce and ensure that customers enjoy the pure and natural taste of the dishes. The restaurant is tastefully decorated; it is devoid of the 'loud' Chinese lanterns or traditional writings -- and this reflects the owners' attention to detail. Dining in March is a delightful and satisfying culinary experience. Highly recommended!

The beef brisket noodle soup was pretty good - it costed $25 CAD. However, the boiled fish dish was disgusting. I ordered it under the impression that it was the chinese style plate where it’s a whole fish cooked with ginger and scallions with a light fragrant sauce. I was wrong.

Pictures on the menu would help.

The food is not the best. We got the shredded chicken rice, and it felt like something that can be made at home. The chicken is not shredded, so it’s not authentic. Overall, the atmosphere is amazing. A bit pricey for sure.

We were so pleased to have found this place! The food was delicious, service (by the staff) was top notch and we had the pleasure of chatting with the head chef and explaining her process of preparing the dishes that we ordered. We had and highly recommend the sweet and sour pork, marinated pork belly fried rice and fried minced pork and crabmeat buns! The rose petal tea complemented the food well.

The chef is also a cat lover so this is a plus for us!
