McLennan's Island Meat & Seafood

Went to McLennan’s meat and seafood to try them out. Picked up a delicious looking tomahawk steak. It was fantastic. So tender and almost melt in your mouth. Absolutely loved it. And the beef pepperoni stick I also grabbed was amazing! I will definitely be back! Thank you.

Most overpriced butcher in all of Victoria.. if you feel like spending $9 on a piece of pepperoni, this is your spot

This is the best meat I have ever had. I am from Alberta with two uncles owning cattle farms. And this place is incredible in comparison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great fresh meats

The butcher shop is really nice and has an old butcher shop feel with beautiful products, but I won’t be going back because they don’t put any prices on anything or even have a price list printed out. How am I supposed to decide on what to get if I don’t know How much anything cost I have to ask how much every single thing is per pound… No thanks. I really wish this was my local butcher shop as I live very close, but I go to places which show their prices.

I bought beef tallow, all beef sausage and beef bones and they were all high-quality. Highly-recommended to carnivores!

I think the workers here are vegan. I was going to buy veal, but the butcher lectured me on how despicable eating baby cows is. As far as I know, you would have better luck buying tofu than meat here.

Honestly the staff are super friendly, and I enjoyed what I got. But damn, is this the most pricey meat store in Victoria? None of this stuff is 100% grass fed and finished. Why does it cost $20 for 3 pepperoni sticks?

I purchased sausage roles and Cornish pasties. The product was so stale I threw all $56 of it out.

I recently ordered a brisket from McLennan's. When I ordered it over the phone, I had them confirm the price before I paid my deposit. When I went to pick it up several days later they did not honor their quoted price, and would not give me a refund on my deposit. It ended up costing me about 80% more than their quote. I was very disappointed in how they handled this situation, it felt like a bait and switch scheme. Would not recommend shopping here.

Lloyd is an absolute pleasure to deal with and offers hands down the best meat and seafood options in town. I love the small scale feel that is BIG on customer service and quality. The location is great and always clean and sanitary. His knowledge of the art of meat cutting and butchering is second to none, so I trust that I’m always getting the best cuts. You won’t find a harder working guy than him and it shows in every way with his business. Keep it up!

The absolute best place to buy meat in Victoria. The owner and staff are all so helpful and the variety and selection is incredible. Went back twice in one week to buy more. They also have a lot of cured meats for charcuterie! The wine salami is a must buy.

So unnecessarily rude. Hope that isn’t the norm and they were just having a bad day.
