Menbow Ramen offers a decent dining experience with light broth ramen at a fair price. Located next to the food court zoo, it provides a convenient ramen option in the mall. The restaurant is mostly self-service, with orders placed on tablets, and customers pick up their food and return bowls, so no tips are needed. During busy hours, only two staff members work in the kitchen, often only coming out to refill chopsticks and clean tables, but the environment remains clean even when crowded.
While the food quality is generally good, some dishes like the soup base have received mixed feedback, with comments about bland flavors. However, dishes like Tonkotsu and Pork Gyoza have been praised for their flavorful broth, good noodles, and toppings. The tantan ramen, although not very spicy, was described as flavorful with perfectly cooked noodles and good beef slices. Prices are affordable, with promotion prices of 12-13 CAD, making it the cheapest in the food court. Overall, despite some negative reviews, Menbow Ramen is a good place for quick ramen and is considered better than many more expensive options downtown.
