They have 45 mins left to close..but you can actually see that they are almost ready to close. The mocha and hit chocolate we ordered though were inferior-tasting as compared to the ones we got from the mall. It was almost it was a tad bit short of the chocolate taste.

The food and drinks are very good but I wound up waiting for 20 minutes for two teas and some pastries. The wrong receipt was with my order so they called the wrong name. It wasn't until I spoke to the supervisor that it was sorted out. Tips are supposed to be for good service and this was not.

Murchie's never disappoints. In all of Victoria, they have the best coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Everything is super fresh and you really can't go wrong. A true "must visit" when in Victoria!!

A total disappointment!I was very excited to go to this cafe, but the service was horrible, the girl who took our order was very unpleasant, it took a long time to deliver our order, the hot chocolate was cold, tasteless and the sandwiches were also cold. I will not go to this place again nor would I recommend it.

Nothing but 5 star. Lots of selection of foods pastries loaf slices cakes sandwiches and a selection of coffees and teas. Wonderful seating area and some seating outside on the main Street. Also a shop to purchase gift baskets and loose leaf teas. All in all a great addition to your day. Include it in your visit..

I was impressed by the charming and retro design of the café, reminiscent of its original look from 1894. I tried the "Sacher" cake, expecting it to be similar to Vienna's famous sachertorte, but it turned out to be a completely different chocolate cake.Meanwhile, I finally found some espresso that I've been missing since arriving in British Columbia. While it wasn't entirely perfect, they served me a dark roast coffee instead of the medium I ordered, but I suppose it's more than satisfactory by North American standards.Also, make sure to inquire about their loyalty card program. After 10 orders, you're entitled to a complimentary coffee.
