Well I was walking and hitching across Vancouver island. In the little town of Metchosen I stumbled upon, and there’s this little pizza place called My-Chosen Pizza.
Yeah it’s ok…the service is above standard and the pizza is very American. Good soup!

Wheelchair accessibility: On one floor and no stairs so very wheelie friendly! :D

My Chosen Pizza stopped doing the deal where if you buy two pizzas, you get a better deal. Now each pizza costs the same whether you buy one or two, so this will be an incentive to just buy one pizza next time, especially when l think there are less toppings compared to the previous owner.

Sadly have to update my review as our order for the last 20 years (which has risen in cost with inflation, totally appropriately) went up more than 45%(!) over night. From $42.50 to $60+ in a week, for a pepperoni and a hawaiian pie. I understand them to be under new ownership... a big restaurant chain bought them from the local owners. Maybe that's why?
It is a bummer but I see a search for a new pizza joint in our future. Thanks for all the good pies, My Chosen Pizza, but I think it'll be a bit before I return at this price. Also, you guys lost our credit that was on file when you raised prices. Also a bummer.

Sadly, the quality of the pizza is not what they used to be...
Until recently, we have been enjoying My-Chosen pizzas for 10+ years. They were hands down, the best pizza around and was our go-to place for when we wanted to splurge and spoil ourselves with a special treat. Unfortunately, over the last year the pizzas have dramatically changed. The crust edges of the large pizzas had over 3 inches of unused 'real estate' leaving only a small area in the center of the pie for toppings. The toppings were so finely chopped that you honestly couldn't see the difference between the pizzas other than 1 had about 1/2 dozen tiny bits of pineapple on half. (The other pizza was ordered with double mushrooms as one of the toppings and the biggest piece of mushroom was about 1/8 inch). Overall, toppings were all very finely chopped and quite sparse. Cheese was sparse and overcooked. Outer rim of crust was too much nakedness - unless you like a lot of plain dough. Center of crust was soggy and uneven.
The first time this happened we shrugged it off and thought maybe the cook was having a bad day or something, but we tried again a few months later and results were the same. We finally tried one last time a few weeks ago and again, disappointment. Service is great, atmosphere is great, but we won't be back for the food.
It just isn't tbe same since it was sold. Last time we ordered pizza, it was terrible. Sorry, but the quality and taste just wasn't there.

Great vibes and great pizza!!
Patio is lovely and dog-friendly. Expect a long wait for pizza during peak weather hours when the restaurant is open. One of the most joyful spots around and the pizza menu is lovely all around - all are 12” and thin crust. It hits the spot! Oh, and great regional variety of drunks!!
