This restaurant was closed down for a while which was a favourite of ours for takeout Chinese food but reopened with new owners as we found out. We called last night and ordered 4 items and spring rolls and all I can say is WOW!!! The food was spectacular and piping hot with the use of their new style containers . We enjoyed it so much and are very happy to see the restaurant re opened.

Best value Chinese food in town. Large portions that really goes a long way in today's high inflation environment. Favorites include HK style chow mein,.ginger fried beef and honey garlic pork.
Edit. New village is under new ownership and sadly its just not the same. I understand the previous owners retired, which I'm glad they finally decided to since they ran the place for so many decades and did a good job of it. Sadly, the quality just isn't there anymore. Fried rice wasn't evenly heated, the ginger fried beef and honey garlic pork just don't taste the same anymore.
What happened? We have been ordering for years from this place. Always the same Dinner for 2 but with chicken chow mein. The chicken chow mein was swimming with Soya sauce and the same with the cashew chicken chop suey. The cashews were soaked and brown. I couldn't finish eating it. I called them and asked. Yes new owners and new staff. So don't expect what you used to get. It's not the same. I am trying to post pictures. Sadly I can't. My first review ever. I won't be going back. Sad to see the food change. It was the best ever before!

We have been coming here for decades. The Honey Garlic pork us delicious and we always get the breaded almond chicken which IS a pounded cutlet.No debit/credit cards. We have tried other Canadian Chinese around us but this is the most consistent, family favorite.

We ordered dinner for 3 and received hot delicious Chinese food! The staff member on the phone was very polite and friendly! All around a wonderful experience. Amount of food we received was very generous and very well priced! Will definitely order again!
