Once again an inedible take out on Friday night. I don't why we keep trying other than fond memories of the original food truck and location downtown. The noodles were mush, the whole order was bad and stunk of mushy brocooli and spice level has been random. I have never given a bad review but this time I am because this is a third time try for this location over 3 years out of hope. I should have known better from your previous 1* reviews were justified. What happened? Where did the original Noodlebox go?

The quality of Noodlebox food has dropped precipitously in the last year, and tonight we got a Peanut Thai with the wateriest sauce I've ever had in 10 years of ordering. The new owners must be ruining everything.

We really enjoyed our dinner (takeout) I had the cashew curry, crispy tofu and it was really tasty! Lots of veggies and cilantro!

My girlfriend and I got the Drunken Noodles tonight and it was crazy spicy - we only ordered a medium heat level but each bite has a bunch of chili peppers in it. We both love hot food and can handle heat when we want to, but this is way out of the ordinary and is borderline inedible. Also the crispy tofu was very soggy.

They didn’t add the meat that i paid for the last 2 times i’ve gone. Gave them a chance the first time but this is now the 2nd time. ridiculous.Update:Been here a few times since and has been consistently disappointing. Since this last time reviewing, I have been shorted meat twice, and today my order had zero sauce or flavor to it.Owner/Manager very nice, but sadly the staff just doesn’t care enough to follow instructions because their food is consistently significantly worse than any other noodle box location nearby. Do yourself a favor and just head to uptown location.

Their boxes have very few actual noodles, and are mostly filled with gross end bits of Asian greens.

Management needs to review their process with staff. These girls deliberately held my order back for no reason than perhaps I was older than the rest of the people in the restaurant. Very rude. Time and date applicable for who was on staff. I watched the girl pick up the tickets, shuffle them around, put them to the side, put other tickets in for the cooks and then put those tickets that she shuffled in and my order came out last. After every single person had left the restaurant, including people who had arrived a good 15 minutes after me. They didn’t deserve the tip I gave. All while I had puppies waiting in my car. The attitude needs to be checked. You’ve lost my business I won’t be back. The most atrocious service in Victoria. I should have read the reviews. Clearly they have a staffing and management problem. I wonder how long they can survive alienating people like this. There isn’t an endless supply of us you know.

I guess it’s okay if you just want flavoured noodles. I tried the Shanghai Cashew Curry and added chicken. Meh. I prefer some vegetables as part of my

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE The service was professional, but the food was slow to be made and disappointing to eat.=== 2. FOOD Note: for the value-oriented, all takeout containers are small considering the price (see pics with a regular table fork placed alongside to show scale).Spicy Peanut Noodle Box ($11.99)Recommended by the server as one of their specialities, the peanuts, sliced carrots, and purple cabbage were nice and crunchy but the sauce is, well, different and perhaps an acquired taste. It seems not to be Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, or Indonesian in origin, but I hope other diners will like it.Ginger Beef Box ($14.99)Ginger beef is a Canadian invention and something I would gladly skip if it's like this always - hard, sometimes chewy, and while the bok choy bits were alright, they were without taste the rice was so undercooked it was inedible. Granted, we were there at 3:30 pm, so perhaps they tried to rush it out to fulfill the order before it was actually cooked?Kid's Chow Mein Box ($6.95)It's a small amount of chow mein noodles with some chopped vegetables inside; you can ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side. Perhaps there are some kids who like it - for my little guy who is typically a noodle monster, even he didn't like this one. It's simply boiled, no sesame oil or other flavourings used - same with the small amount go vegetables inside, where it all relies on the teriyaki sauce for flavour. As a parent, the $6.95 will go much farther for little ones with any of the other eateries in the shopping complex or across the street, or down the road...=== 3. SERVICE The server at the counter was great, patient, provided recommendations and professional. The food service however, was quoted to take 15 mins which was surprising considering there was only us and one other customer (with a small order) there. It took nearly all of the 15 minutes which was surprising given how much quicker many other similar food vendors (e.g. in Hillside and Mayfair malls) can prepare similar dishes in half the time or less.=== 4. ENVIRONMENT It is nice and modern, with plenty of tables and seating for groups large and small. The windows all along the front let in a lot of natural light. Wheelchairs and baby strollers would have not difficulty here. Parking can be plentiful in the shopping complex parking lot out front - if you time it right :) - as it doesn't get busy around lunch time!

Happy Loved

We have been Noodle box customers since 2008. This location never meets the expectations and everytime we decide to give it a try again it disappoints ?. Food smells and tastes horrible. It's either runny or too dry but never right. Even it has fresh cilantro on top it smelled rancid. I will give it 0 our of 10 as cook needs to be changed.

Ordered a cashew curry box, I asked if it had a sauce like the peanut noodle box dish,I was told yes it was quite saucy. I got my meal to a dry box of noodles with lots of salt and not much other flavors. After I asked for sauce I was told their sauce is basically just canola oil and its a dry dish. To add to that a small size amounting to approximately a tablespoon of sauce costs 2 dollars. I'm a little disappointed that this establishment can't provide better explanations of their dishes without pictures, as I wasted 30 dollars on dry salty noodles. 4/10 will not return for a second time, I've learned my lesson.
