Fake gelato! Not even good for ice cream. It was devoid of flavour. Kinda tasted like ice. Went with friends and we all had to throw it out.

Customer service here is for the pigeons. I blame management/owner who creates a hostile environment with little training to customer service or care for its employees. The ice cream shop across the street is top notch! Chocolate favoris. They are on top of it! Learn from your neighbours “Oh Gelato “

Everyone was so lovely at Oh Gelato! The two staff members gave us lots of suggestions and were very patient with our indecisiveness. The gelato was delicious - we had the peanut butter chocolate and the stracciatella.

Went tonight with my wife and two sons. One son had short listed four flavors but couldn’t decide which two he would get — we were surprised to learn they won’t provide free samples, to anyone, ever! :/ Obviously management made a decision and the staff had strict instructions, so there was no reasoning with them.
—If you’re not going to provide samples… then you better have guaranteed winning flavors. —
My son, chose the flavor “exotica” which was extremely sour and disappointing; a negative experience which could have been avoided with a basic free sample.
My wife and other son got their orders.
I started to order Butter Pecan in a cone, but I wanted to get a cup and spoon in addition. (Why? I suppose I am weird, maybe. Because while I like to eat ice cream cones…. I prefer to each my ice cream with a spoon. Then I don’t have to manage dripping, breaking cones or other problems. Plus I was going to have to drive.) Again, there is a flat rule against giving or selling me a cup for an extra $0.50 or $1. To me that was enough. I cancelled my order, paid the $27 for my family’s three cones, and we went on.
I understand that times are tough, and businesses need to look after their margins. But management is a sleep at the switch at Oh Gelato, only happy customers write positive reviews. I know free samples aren’t free, and nor are cups or spoons. I get it. At the same time, happy customers aren’t free and positive reviews aren’t free either. Free samples and selling me a cup is the cheapest PR any business can buy.
I challenge management to set policies that make customers happy and are good for business. How might you say “yes” to my request, what would you have to do to make it possible to say “yes to samples and cups?”
Walking down the street, my wife prompted me to try Better Acres Ice Cream, instead. They offered me a sample the moment I walked in the door, they treated me like a long time friend, and the Carmel Cream exceeded expectations.
When my wife tasted what I got from Better Acres, she decided to ditch her double scoop from Oh Gelato and got a whole new cone from better acres instead.
True story — I can’t make this stuff up.

Great experience and welcoming staff. Had the orange cream and bubblegum flavours and it was as if I was a kid again.

Large scoops!
Very delicious!
A very clean shop, excellent choice of gelato flavours as well as sherbet available. My disappointment lies in customer service. The young staff working Wednesday Aug 7 2024 in the later part of the afternoon ignored customers meaning myself totally. The two, a female cashier and a male scooping the gelato continued with a conversation amongst themselves.I waited patiently for him to take my order. Nothing happened until I tapped on the glass and startled him. I then proceeded to order three one scoop gelato cups. I was polite and thanked them as my son paid, only to find out minutes after ordering and on my way out of the shop that he gave a half scoop of gelato to my son and charged for a one scoop. His actions are totally unexceptionable. I am sure this incident today doesn’t make good for your company?

Absolutely delicious Gelato. Their flavors are super on point. Only downside was the person serving ice cream did not know how to properly put scoops on the cones. I ordered 2 scoops and he did not push them into the cone. They were also on lopsided and the moment I walked out of the shop the top scoop al.ost fell off. I had to use a spoon to scoop it back on to the best of my ability, but I lost quite a bit.

I can't give this 0 stars unfortunately but that is my actual rating. I was shocked going into the store yesterday after seeing so many gluten free gelato options, I was really looking forward to trying some, as being celiac I don't often get such treats. Well after speaking to the staff I was told that cross contamination is too high due to they use the same scoopers and rinse in the same dish. I asked if they could just get a clean one or wash off a scoop to scoop my gelato, but the answer was no. She pointed to a water jug with all the scoops and couldn't believe that their system can't be accommodating to just add a gluten free jug to actually try to prevent cross contamination or provide a modicum of service to those of us with severe food issues. If you have to be gluten free, do not go here, all the gluten free gelato contains gluten!!!

If not for the write-up in this shop where the store owner’s go on about their values and the relation of their values of quality, etc being reflected in their high prices, I wouldn’t have such a negative opinion of this business and would just chalk it up as an overpriced gelato shop that I was stupid enough to waste money in. But the shop does go out of its way to toot its own horn and tell the customer about how the high prices are a reflection of certain priorities; priorities that were not evident in their product or customer service. The gelato is mediocre at best, not terrible, but a bit grainy and lacking in flavor. The service is equally lacking. Upon realizing the cone I’d gotten was likely to fall, I asked for a cup to set it in (there are ice cream cups in plain sight on the counter) and was refused by a bored looking teenager. No explanation as to why, no offer to let me purchase one for a fee (I have never encountered this at an ice cream shop), just some kid making it very clear they have zero interest in customers or customer service (the store was intermittently busy, but the other two staff at the time were doing the majority of the work, this kid looked bored and sounded bored).

The gelato has ice chips in it and the flavours are weak and slightly off. A bit strange for gelato. Unfortunately I have to say this was the lowest quality of gelato I've eaten so far. I do not recommend it.
