They had placed unhygienic plastic dice on the cake. I had asked them beforehand if they could make the marzipan decorations the shape of dice. The person who took the order said they could so I gave them dice to model the decorations after. The cake was picked up and unfortunately wasn't checked beforehand so when we opened the cake to sing happy birthday, we were surprised to see the actual plastic dice on the cake itself and no marzipan decorations whatsoever. Those dice were not clean. Our guests did not feel comfortable eating the cake with the dice on there so we have to cut around the dice and serve the cake that way. I was very embarrassed and disappointed.
The cake itself leaned on the sweeter side.

My Son ordered a birthday cake for his GF and as he was working asked if I could collect it. I made the 44km round trip to pick it up. Imagine my frustration when my Son called to say they had contacted him telling him they had given me the wrong cake. I made another trip back to the shop. They would not accept responsibility it was their error and blamed me saying they had 2 orders for the same name as my Son. The shop is dark and in desperate need of care and attention with cracked display cabinets and an odour I can’t quite describe. Of note a customer had also taken her dog into the shop on my first visit which kept jumping up putting its paws on the counter. At no point was she asked to leave or take the animal outside. Avoid this place! Don’t waste your time or money. Go to Cakes Etc instead.

This bakery is in my neighbourhood, and never let's me down. Today I purchased a "breakfast tray" which was a gorgeous mix of muffins, croissants and cinnamon buns. It was huge, beautifully wrapped, and almost too heavy to carry. Thank you, the hospital unit that I brought it into literally screamed when they saw it.

This has become my favourite bakery! The seed bread is delicious. The herb scones are delicious. The spinach pastry, giant peanut butter coc chip cookie both to die for, & the muffins wholesome, sized to share & yes also scrumptious. Always friendly staff working at a brisk pace when I come by. And …the day old trays of still wonderful bakery delights are nestled onto parchment paper & cardboard trays - not styrofoam. That makes a big difference to me & sends a clear signal from this business about its environmental stewardship. Go visit this bakery! Your palate will appreciate it!
Amazing patisserie, everything here tastes wonderful and seems to be made from high quality ingredients. Even the day-olds taste better than fresh stuff from most other bakeries, and they are serious value for money.
