Just enjoyed the most delish and elegant black forest cake ever!!Was a special birthday cake treat, and the lucky 7-yr-old (with highly sophisticated taste!) was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. THANK you to the magnificent pastry chefs who were the hit of the party this year!

Tried to place an order on the 10th of December, was told orders had to be in by the 1st of December when they emailed me back 5 days later. I asked if Tourtiere would be available leading up to Christmas and Don told me they will be available tomorrow - the 16th. I have a job so that didn’t work - No other information was provided. So, come Christmas Eve - I show up at 7:20 for a 7:30 opening, 3 toutieres in the case. It sells out right in front of me. So, I’m told they will have them “much much later”, I ask to pay for one and come back. No. Ok, do you have a better idea of timing - No. Cool. What horrible customer service. Your customers line up for your items and you let them leave empty handed. You say “first come first serve” but I show up and am within the first 10 people in the store and you won’t sell me something you’re making that day? What a total power trip - I will no longer be “attempting” to buy anything from your bakery. With all the new and wonderful bakery’s in town, your old school ways and attitude can be left in the past. Out with the old. I’ll just head out to Berryman and get my Tourtiere - they are delicious and they don’t make you wait like a pheasant waiting for a scrap or hold things hostage from you. Maybe I should have shown up earlier, maybe I should have thought about Christmas baking in November. MY BAD.

My go to place for cakes. They are the best. I have tried out many different ones. Black Forest is so good! They stayed late one night for me when I forgot to pick up. The nicest people work there.

Daniel’s Winter Rose cake with small marzipan roses and leaves on a full wrap 100th birthday cake was absolutely stunning for my mother’s party in the restaurant. They taped the cake down onto the box on a doilie and the cake was so moist and the buttercream delicious. I didn’t really taste any of the brandy but I think that’s why the cake was so moist. I had to get up at 1:40am and sneak into the kitchen for another piece. 4 people at the restaurant asked for a second piece. It was tastefully decorated and elegant, if you ask for the 2 small roses and leaves on the 8” cake. Day 6 just finishing it up with a bit of plastic wrap covering the cut side and it’s still as moist as day 1. I’m craving another one Btw their almond croissants are to die for. Eat with knife and fork.

This past week I ordered 2 special birthday cakes for a family gathering celebrating 3 birthdays. The kind man helping me to choose and order over the phone was most helpful, and the 2 cakes surpassed my expectations! Both the Lemon Cake and the Black Forest Cake looked spectacular and were both so delicious I just couldn't decide which one was my favourite! I ordered cakes here for a previous family birthday celebration and will do so again in future! 🎂 🍰
