Penny Farthing Public House

We ordered 4 different breakfasts from the $11 by 11 deal. The Chorizo Benny wasn't very hot and could use more sauce.The yummy omelet was full of ham and cheese. The soft poached eggs weren't and the full English was perfect. The coffee was great and so was the service. We will be back!

Had a great time with friends. must say that the food was good but our two servers (one at the bar and one back in the resto) were excellent. Will be back

Restaurant inside is very tired and needs refreshing. Hostess was excellent server was adequate. Food was good not great. Salad dressing was bottled. It worked because it was as fine with a toddler

We have visited this authentic Pub several times, especially with visitors who appreciate the ambiance and excellent food. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and they had wonderful smiles... something different from other restaurants. Parking was easily found near the restaurant.

What a fun place! Great food and service! And we showed up on trivia night which Tom and the regulars made us feel so totally welcome! Thank you!!

Penny Farthing's is not just where you go to eat...it is FABULOUS food and FABULOUS ambience and energy. Their breakfasts on the street are WONDERFUL. We sometimes drive from Nanaimo on a random morning just to enjoy this experience. The prices are great too and the food always delicious. Once you try Penny's you'll be hooked, too.

I always so enjoy, coming to the Penny Farthing Pub - with its warm, welcoming atmosphere - whether you're sitting inside, or outside on the beautiful patio! The staff are so friendly and the service, beverages & food, are superb!

We sat inside and quickly learned that there is no AC (or minimal) and it would have been cooler on their sidewalk/street tables. My salmon burger was delicious, though a bit messy to eat. The salad was your typical bowl of greens, but their house dressing was delicious and It arrived on the side as requested. My friend's I-piece fish and chips was a very large serving. The fish was good but their french fries were a disappointment. I think a pub should have great chips and these did not meet that expectation. I would recommend a new method, new recipe, anything to improve them from the boring flavourless state they are now. Even ketchup couldn't save them..... Service was great. Staff is friendly.

Table for 5 so we switched tables and the waitress was very accommodating. We all quite enjoyed the booze and food.

It was Father's Day but although everyone around us was being served in a timely manner....it was 15 min sitting at our table before being talked to by our server ....another 10 min for our drinks....and another 15 min after that for our food. It was a long wait....for what seemed like only our corner table.

We went to the Penny Farthing yesterday for dinner and it was great! Food was hot, fresh and fast and the wait staff were excellent. We'll be back!

2 for 1 Fish & chip Mondays are a great deal. It was a good size battered fish. I'd have given 5 stars, but it was a little over done (very dark brown). Otherwise enjoyable. We'll be back.

Didn't like the food thought it was bland and greasy. The atmosphere was cool I thought they did a good job of decorating it. They didn't let me sit up front because of arbitrary rules which was totally lame.
