I've loved sashimi for almost 50 years, but I've never loved it more than at Peter's. This was the best sashimi I've ever eaten by a wide margin. They could charge half again as much and I'd still go back. It was amazing!
Also, the wasabi. Is it made fresh in-house? I've never had anything like it. So delicious.
I've discovered my new favourite restaurant. 😋

A bit of a hidden gem in Langford but worth the finding. Don’t be put off by the mundane appearance, this is a truly good sushi spot. We had an awesome meal. Rice with sesame steak sauce, miso soup, unagi roll, granderson roll, wagyu beef rolls, and assorted sashimi. Everything was delicious. The unagi roll was one of the tastiest I have ever had. The sashimi come with 15 pieces but as we were sharing our t appears the restaurant added an extra piece all unasked for. I was very pleased with this restaurant. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Note that we had a larger fancier meal. A delicious meal can still be had for less.

After a moderate length of time researching the best sashimi in Victoria, I tried Peter's Sushi assorted sashimi platter. Everything was very fresh, and the plate was very nicely presented. The gentleman who served me was very friendly, and promptly answered my questions on the menu items prior to taking my order and also made recommendations at my request. The place was busy for a mid-week lunch hour, yet service pace wasn't at all compromised. The large sashimi platter came to 50 dollars for 25 pieces (not including the tax and tip), which is the same as KFC crispy wings these days. Great value for the quality and experience. I'm not from Victoria but I won't hesitate to go back when I'm in town.

Let me start off by saying that I'm a sushi snob, and this place is quite the little gem!

Pros: The ingredients are extremely fresh, the prices are decent, the staff are friendly, the place is clean, and I will absolutely be back.

Cons: There is no liquor license ( and I absolutely must have a hot sake with my sashimi. It makes it a complete package for my taste buds.)
The parking is strange, and can be difficult for trucks.
There are only 7 tables.

Food was average, service was not good - server did not come back to table until the bill, no refill of tea, gave wrong items (ordered the salmon and Toro Nigiri but gave me the sashimi instead. Did not want to argue but ended up I had to take out the rest and pay over $20 more.) and she didn’t know what the assorted sashimi included even it is the same everyday.

Foods are small and over priced in this level of restaurant setting. There are way better choices out there. First and last time in this place!

Awesome quality sushi for a decent price. Toro sashimi is my go-to and theirs is great. Also enjoyed the miso soup and spicy salmon, negitoro and Granderson rolls.

Fresh, different options of combos/platters, good price/quality ratio.

Ordered takeout for the first time today, we got the real crab california roll made spicy, a yam roll, and a avocado cucumber roll. So good! We will be back!

Peter's Sushi is the freshest and best Japanese restaurant I've had around the West Shore. While it doesn't have a huge selection of dishes, the seafood is incredibly fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. This is my fourth time eating at Peter's Sushi in the last two months. My favorite is still Kainse Don. Since they don't have many indoor seats, we prefer takeout. The takeout portions aren't any smaller, and the presentation is still very appealing.

Best sushi restaurant ever!! Not only is the fish the best I’ve had on the island, the staff are amazing. Shout out to our server David for being so kind, bringing us extra sushi on the house, free ice cream and high chews to end our night! This is the second time I’ve been to Peter’s and have been given something on the house. The staff are phenomenal and the sushi is literally the best I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place more ❤️

Moving from the mainland we were missing our sushi spots. This place is a gem in the Westshore.

A quaint, little store with great food and service. We had a party tray for 4 and I must say it was awesome!! I heard that they now just open in the evening as there is not much rush in the afternoon anymore. Coming here to write this review as I want to keep this store thriving in Langford.
