My kind of place - the best beer and even better vibes.
We absolutely love this brewery but just experienced the most appalling service. I showed up without ID (which is my own fault) and did not get served, while my husband was able to present ID and ordered a single beer. I respectfully accepted that I would not be drinking, poured myself a glass of water, ordered a pretzel, and went to go sit out on the patio with my husband. After being outside for just a few minutes, a staff member came over and informed us that we would not be able to dine at the establishment and we needed to leave.... Despite being able to show a copy of my photo ID, receipt from our visit the day prior, and children being present, we were still escorted out the door. Given this location allows for minors to be present with a legal adult, we were shocked and appalled at the fact that we were being kicked out and targeted this way. Honestly, I'm still in awe with how this all turned out and the power trip of the employee implementing this was just next level. Wow.
Additionally, upon review of the legal documents that outline their liquor license, we can confirm we were unjustly removed from the establishment.
I visit a lot of breweries and their Grape Yuzu was one of the worst beers I've ever had. It tasted grossly medicinal, like Robitussin; I couldn't finish the 4oz.
The bartenders were nice, but service was inattentive.
The Barrel Aged Wiskey Sour was pretty good though. Got to give credit when due.
Meatballs were off the hook...on the food tour
Super fun brewery. Delicious beers. And COME ON, you can get a hot dog tower?! SOLD.
Been a fan of Phillips for a few years now and was looking forward to visiting the brewery. We finally go out there last week and unfortunately we left disappointed. The set up here is not the best. The tables have no service. You have to go to the bar and order and pay each time for drinks. For food you have to order it with your mobile phone as a complete separate transaction which just seems silly.
There were 4 of us in our group and we all noticed the same weird thing when using the washrooms. The men’s room says men’s on the door. The women’s room says “everyone else”. Not sure that appropriate.
There are better options in the area that offer a better experience.
Amazing place! amazing beer! Amazing people! We don’t usually drink beer, and we enjoyed the beer and food so much, after a long bike ride, so we went back for a second time in a week. As we were enjoying the good tasting beer, my husband dropped and lost his wedding band under the terrasse floor. As we’re looking for it, the staff came, they removed a long wooden piece of the floor so we can look for it, and they found it!!! We are blessed to have met those nice people! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You’ve made an incredible difference 🙏🙌
Thank you!!!

I have always thought of Phillips as just a brewery and myself not being a beer lover haven’t gone there much. However with the addition of Roast, there is now plenty of tasty food options. And they also make their own gin so I was pleasantly surprised with a summer gin cocktail that tasted great. They have expanded their patio so we didn’t have any trouble finding a table on a hot summers night and it’s also dog friendly… how can you go wrong?
Was supposed to go see sombr here, they canceled him and I didn't get a refund, spent over 1000 on this trip not including the tickets just to see sombr and didn't even get an email saying he was canceled... so disappointed
The gold standard for local craft beer, Phillips has long been a staple in the Victoria community.
The way Phillips brings people together, especially through events like the Backyard Weekender, is something we truly admire. You’re not just brewing incredible beer, you’re creating culture, memories, and connection. We’re grateful to play a small part in the storytelling behind that.
We had the pleasure of creating visuals for their spring releases and core lineup was an absolute honour.
From the get-go, the Phillips team brought an energy that was equal parts playful and passionate, with a clear love for their craft and a genuine appreciation for creative collaboration. It’s always a joy working alongside brands that not only have a strong visual identity, but also a strong sense of community.
Can’t wait for the next round. Pun absolutely intended.

Great experience and so many options whether you’re looking for a good beer or even non-alc drinks. Amazing atmosphere with cute little art pieces all over to show their unique vibe.
Delicious and great selection of beers. Highly recommended!
While REVERB and EASY RIDE got most of my attention, I wasn't scared of a little REVENGE or GORILLA PUNCH. Phillips was the official beer of our KILLER B XX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in VICTORIA B a week back and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that after drinking Phillips for three days while participating in the world's greatest spectator sport, my body continues to feel like an Olympic Level Athlete. The Tilt Light is a great light beer during the hot days when playing in barely-sport sports. Great product.
One of the best breweries in Victoria
Always a great time, the summer ale is amazing!
