First time stumbling across this place, pretty great overall! Ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which was pretty generic, and could've used a little cheesy garnish, but overall, ok. The pizza, however was fabulous! A nice authentic wood fired crust, thin crust, crispy with a nice toothy chew to it. Nicely done, topped well. A great classic representation! The place has a cool vibe, casual, friendly and welcoming. A definite place to try again!
Crust was pleasantly charred and rustic. Sauce was lacking in substance and depth. Like someone blendered a grocery store tomato and put it directly on the pizza. Toppings were pretty much indiscernible. Not enough here to make me go “wow”
I used to love this place for its thin crust pizza, but this time it wasn’t quite as satisfying. The margherita was good, but the featured pasta didn’t have much flavour and was a bit too oily. The featured pizza was nice, but the Panna e Pancetta was disappointing. I remember really liking it before, but this time it was too creamy without actual taste, with hardly any leek flavour and just some pieces of pancetta on top. I might stick with the Fort Street branch next time.
