Nothing Mexican about it - Nachos would have been ok but for the extra beef which was like pate. Not a Mexican spice in it. Quesadillas soggy.
Have the fish & chips instead.
Cute little spot on the wharf! Great place for families.
I had the fish tacos and they were not very good.... Not much flavor really. Fisherman's wharf is a tourist trap - fun but not really worth it
The plates could be a little bigger, the food is really good, c’mon.
Recently they have raised their prices significantly ($20 for a bean and rice burrito which I was going to get but couldn’t justify for probably $2 worth of ingredients.) and the quality is just not there. If anything it’s gotten worse. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were almost inedible. No seasoning or marinade on the steak, and it was SO over cooked I could barley chew it. There was so much rock hard gristle as well. In addition the toppings were just lettuce and some watery pico de gallo. No sauce. I had to ask for hot sauce to make it edible. $23 for these 3 tacos by the way, no sides. I’ve eaten at a ton of Mexican restaurants and this is by far the worst. $10 for a tiny side of Sysco brand chips, bad pico & a fountain drink is insane. I think they have just jacked up their prices to take advantage of tourists. Locals won’t pay that much for bland, overcooked food. 3 tacos, probably 20 chips and some shrimp for $56 and you have the audacity to ask for a tip. Good luck.
Very friendly staff with a decent view at the dining area. Food was good too but a bit overpriced.
Delicious food and unbeaten environment, especially Fridays nights when Miguelito is performing. Very recommended.
Great service. Lovely guy who accommodated our request to have 2 different types of tacos in 1 portion. The tacos tasted really fresh and unlike every other taco I’ve had didn’t fall apart! Apologies also - I ended up leaving a 1 cent tip due to my unfamiliarity with the tipping format on card payment and had no cash. It was definitely worth more than that. Thanks.
The tacos with beans were just tortillas with a dallop of beans. $19 for this is a joke
Very good welcoming service, but they forget some things, like spiciness customizations, dips; it’s understandable because they’re really busy but I’d advise to double check your order verbally before you walk. The best was ceviche for me, tacos are absolutely delicious but I have also had better. These tacos are saucy if you ask for it, which I like and soft shells. Jumbo butter prawns were amazing, but the accompanying rice was a little underwhelming. Altogether, a 3.5-3.8 star dining experience. It is definitely great to try once in a while, but I wouldn’t be a regular here.

This is a nice little Mexican restaurant with a beautiful view at Victoria’s Fisherman’s Wharf. I had the Baja Fish tacos, which were cooked perfectly with a nice salsa in a soft corn tortilla. I also ordered a glass of merlot that was surprisingly good for a house wine.
The fish tacos were as plain as they can get. Fish on top of some cabbage with almos no flavor. The atmosphere is great so i gave it 2 stars but the food was expensive and no flavor
PROS: -Friendly and efficient service -Very fresh and tasty food CONS: -None OVERAL IMPRESSION I have not been to a food truck in many years. I enjoyed it. This food truck is located at the back of the Royal Museum, Victoria BC and is not listed on Google Maps.
Diablo prawns had a nice spice! Fish tacos above average. They have a covered patio so you can enjoy your food even if it's cooler or wet out no problemo.
By far the best Mexican food on the island! We always have to stop here when we are in Victoria. Now if only they had a restaurant in Chemainus. :)
