Q AT THE FAIRMONT EMPRESS

We treated our son to the Empress for sinner for his 25th. In most ways, it was what we hope for -gorgeous building with history behind it. However, it was over-priced we felt. Food was very good but the price was very high. It was a bit noisy for conversation but otherwise very comfortable.

Kind of disappointing. 3/4 entrees were not hot. Lobster was overcooked and not properly deveined. I definitely expected something better. On a different note, we are staying at the hotel and breakfast this morning was fantastic.

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious! Brussel sprouts also excellent. Pumpkin dessert only so so.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Q. The ambiance was lovely and the food/drinks were fantastic. We look forward to coming back on our next trip to Victoria!

We got the pork tomahawk. One of the best pork dishes we've ever had! There was an amazing smokiness and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. Our server Marisol was great and we also enjoyed talking with one of the managers. They sent us off with a fantastic cherry dessert for my husband's birthday.

I had the mushroom risotto and added the scallops. Wow, what a wonderfully tasty entree. And William provided impeccable service.

We were visiting Victoria for a day and decided to stop in for some light food, we’re not disappointed.
Our wait staff Mr. Bradley M, was so polite and welcoming. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we were taken good care of.
The 3 of us decided to have Truffle soup, we have tried it at other places, but nothing came closer to the one at Q Bar, it was scrumptious ! Shared the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread that was so delicious.
Will definitely come back to stay and eat again at Q Bar.

Andrew was a wonderful server. It was my daughter's graduation celebration and he even brought her a Congratulations dessert plate.

This establishment is a place to visit with a lot of history, a true enjoyable memory maker!

The staff was amazing, the place is beautiful but the food was pretty bland, to be honest there are better places to go for breakfast in victoria, for the quality and taste of what we ordered I found the place expensive and not a gem.

We had a wonderful dinner at Q. A special request we made when we made our reservation was noted when we arrived. Everything was delicious. I don't usually have beef but the beef fillet was the best I've ever had. My only comment was that it was not quite as hot as it should have been, but it was otherwise done to perfection. We had side orders as well - the asparagus was superb but I could have had about 2/3 the amount at a lower price. Dessert and coffee were perfect. Although the restaurant was not busy on this night, I can see how it could be noisy if there was a big sporting event on. We will be back next time we stay at the empress.

All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our server patiently helped us make wine and dinner choices. The halibut was fabulous. The Italian Pinot Grigio was very smooth. And the chocolate cake was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

We had a leisurely breakfast on a rainy/windy day and the Q restaurant was the perfect reprieve. The food was delicious, the portions generous and the service was excellent. We didn't feel rushed in any way and appreciated being allowed to linger until the weather subsided.

The BEST turkey dinner I’ve ever had (sorry, Mom!). We ordered the Fairmont Empress Turkey-to-Go meal for Thanksgiving and it was absolutely incredible. The turkey was perfectly cooked, the sides were delicious, and everything was beautifully packaged and easy to serve. Cleanup was a breeze — no dishes, no stress, just more time to actually enjoy the day with family. It truly felt like a five-star restaurant experience at home. I would 100% order again next year — worth every penny!
