Start to finish, everything about this operation’s menu and service is well put together. Good variety of beers but not so much to be overwhelming. Same for food options. Know that you’re getting into some serious bar food here. Diet food this is not. But on a cold winter day, it slaps. Try the pierogi sampler, say yes to the confit bacon, and hell yes to the poutine and caesar.

Great service, and the pierogi are Polish-man approved. The base pierogi are absolutely delicious, and their other flavors only build on the delicious dough and filling choices. Also the owner has great musical insight, the staff are great people to chat with and made our visit that much more enjoyable. Leah was great to us as well :)

Stop 3 on our food tour AND the first place we returned to for more. These are not the pierogi's I was used to. these are more dumpling like in size. The owner /chef is also an artist and their paintings adorn the walls. As I understand it he also made most of the dining furniture using reclaimed materials. The pierogi's were flavorful and unique. When we returned later that afternoon we had whisky sours and more of the wonderful pierogi's, this time we had the western style. The drink service was on the slow side but tolerable. The staff were good conversationists and did check up on us from time to time.

Food was great! Service on the other hand…probably the worst I’ve had in my 5 years in Victoria. Only 2 servers for the place so I kinda understand…but right as we walked in the person seating us was unwelcoming & had a very cold approach, followed by another server who made it seem inconvenient to them that we were dining there, and was reluctant to ask if we wanted more drinks/food more than once. Thankfully, the food was LOADED with flavour!

This New Canadian restaurant is a pure delight! The staff are friendly the atmosphere is rustic and unique and the food is amazing! They are always playing cool music. I have been numerous times and I'm determined to try everything on the menu as everything I've had so far has been a hit!

35 min later still dont have my take out order .... After being told it would be 15 min .... Come back to take my order , they ignore me to give my order in my hand without saying anything about the delay ....... Hope it's good for the wait .... After tipped , I'm not sure I would again in other restaurants cause of experience like this when you are polite . Awful service . Don't go there for a quick take out
