$70 for three TINY containers for takeout. Sure the foods tasty but I’m getting the smallest portions I’ve ever seen it really feels like a scam. This is why places go out out of business greedy practices

The server was amazing, accommodating, friendly, personable, genuine, and asked all the necessary questions (allergies, spice level). I’m not sure if she was the owner but you can tell she knew her stuff. She accommodated all of our requests and made awesome recommendations. The restaurant was inviting, and had nice water and fire features. The food was top notch, and came out quickly. Before they opened for dinner, we had seen people wait outside of the restaurant to get in once they opened, which is always a good sign anywhere you go. Thanks for the amazing food, would recommend and I wish I got the servers (or owner?) name!

The servers were nice but the food was dreadful, packet mixes from the supermarket would have been much better. There was nothing Thai about it, I doubt they even have a Thai recipe book. Avoid.

We almost walked out even before placing our order. The table we were given had two air conditioners blowing from both sides and a fan directly above us — it was uncomfortably cold. When we asked if the fan could be turned off, we overheard the manager raising her voice at our waitress. Later, when we requested to move to another table, the manager gave us a lecture about city bylaws and fire hazards supposedly preventing a fifth chair — which felt more like an excuse than a real policy.
Her passive-aggressive attitude throughout the interaction was such a turnoff. It really soured the entire experience.
As for the food: nothing memorable and definitely overpriced. We paid $130 for four dishes that weren’t worth more than $60. We won’t be going back.

My family went to Sabhai this evening after confirming they still had space available. We were seated quickly and ordered drinks and an appetizer to share. And then ordered 4 different dishes from the menu.
Our previous favourite Thai Restaurant was a small restaurant we found in Truro, NS. We actually visited that place twice on a long road trip.
But Sabhai Thai is the hands-down new winner. All 4 dishes were extremely tasty. The common red Thai curry was the best we've ever tasted. The deep fried Red Snapper was perfectly breaded and cooked and had a extremely flavorful (and spicy) sauce. And both noodle dishes were very good.
We are only in Langford for one more day on this trip. But we might have to go again tomorrow before we leave.
