The prices and overall amount of options are not appealing at all. $6-8 for a small drink with no other options of size and no sweeteners or cream options

I really love the esthetic of this cafe. Love they have merch too. Tried the matcha latte, it was ok if you like basic matcha and unsweetened.

Came highly recommended, the coffee did not disappoint.
Ordered one of the featured blends in an espresso, it was smooth delicious and came with some nice sparkling water which was a wonderful pallet cleanser.
the pastries where also good and paired well with the coffee.
The staff was not super helpful or polite it had the strange phenomenon where the better the coffee the more the baristas act like Daria.
but the pretentiousness does not retract from the extremely enjoyable coffee. but does keep it from a perfect score.

Was looking forward to trying the coffee and pastries, they looked amazing. I decided I needed to use the restroom and let the barista know I would use the restroom first before ordering and she furrowed her brow and “ok”. Let it go….a gentlemen slipped into the restroom just before me, was about 20 Seconds and left the bathroom and went into the back kitchen to start chatting with someone. I entered and the toilet was not flushed and I didn’t see evidence of hand washing, whatever, maybe he wasn’t working today……then I get out and take my place third in line to which the same man was at the front and having a personal conversation with the male barista. I waited about 3-4 minutes with no change in conversation or line movement and decided to leave. The vibe was snobbish/ negative. Looking around, no one seemed happy.

Excellent coffee but do not ask for sugar or honey or you’ll get a blank stare and not much else
Delicious speciality coffee. Even in a milk based drink I could feel the delicate notes (it was a La cabra roastery coffee).

Really tasty drinks and treats!
I usually come here about once a week and I like their lattes. Today, I ordered an Americano, but it was quite lukewarm. I told the barista that it didn’t feel hot enough, and was told that this is their standard “warm” temperature. I didn’t make any special request about the temperature when I ordered I just asked for a ‘hot’ Americano. The barista offered to add more hot water, so I ended up drinking a hot but very diluted coffee. The barista wasn’t very friendly either, and unfortunately, this left me starting my morning in a bad mood. I’ve ordered hot drinks here before and they were never this lukewarm, and I’ve never had to specify a temperature. Overall, I was really disappointed today.

Restaurantji Recommends
Small, unassuming unpretentious coffee joint that also has excellent matcha. Local art on the walls and small selection of well made quality clothing for sale. An excellent discounted basket to peruse as well. Will be back.

If you're going to be so pretentious as to make customers not add any sugar then you better make the perfect cup of cappuccino. It was 90% milk and no microfoam. You want me to taste the coffee? How about get the proportions right and don't serve me a Starbucks latte aka milk with a hint of coffee. But if you are going to do that then at least give me the courtesy of sweetening it.

Was in the area for a few days and looking for a place that does great coffee and was set up well for working on a laptop. This spot was great.
I ordered a Columbian double espresso and a Brazilian Americano to go with a plain butter croissant. The guy that looked after me was super friendly.

Came here for a matcha latte after seeing they serve matcha from Jagasilk. The matcha is bland and unsweetened. When i asked for sweetener, they just said we don’t have any sweetener here. I personally think sweetener helps bring out flavours in drinks. Nevermind there is no matcha flavour in this drink at all so I don’t know what flavour I’m supposed to be tasting.. oatmilk?
FYI - i asked how much matcha they put in their drinks and they said 2g. Definitely less than what I prefer (3-4g).
Starbucks has cheaper and better matcha options at this rate. From someone living in Vancouver, don’t sleep on matcha from starbucks if you’re craving matcha.
